• Situation of integration
Two days before the beginning of the school year, the government took a restrictive measure to prevent
students from going on social media during school time. The students of your school mistakenly think
that internet is no longer useful and decide to go on strike. As the chairman of the students’ committee,
you decide to convince them not to go on strike because internet is still useful to them in spite of this
restrictive measure.
Basing yourselves on the documents studied in relation to the internet, your knowledge on the
argumentative paragraph, grammar, vocabulary related to the same topic, and your own experience,
you decide to deliver a four-minute oral presentation to the students of your school.
In 20 minutes, write down the ideas you will develop in your talk. In the presentation you will:
- give two examples of social media.
- give three drawbacks of social media for students.
- explain with two arguments how internet is still useful to students.
Face the audience and speak in an audible voice during your presentation.
• Appreciation criteria your presentation should:
- contain convincing arguments.
- be well organised.
- be delivered through an acceptable pronunciation.
- be delivered fluently.
- use appropriate vocabulary.
- use appropriate grammar.
- be audible.
