Overview
What is the competition? Week-long competition pairing technical software students from PUCRS (Brazil) with
MBA students from Rice University (U.S.). Final deliverables will be presented virtually to HP executives.

When is the competition? What is the prompt?


• Monday, Nov 4th – Thurs, Nov 7th → Work on • Real world challenge / opportunity currently
deliverables worked on by HP
• Friday, Nov 8th → Virtual presentation to HP Execs • Combination of hardware + AI software

Prizes!
• 1st place team will win HP premium PCs
• Other prizes include wireless headphones,
gaming keyboards, etc.

What is expected from students?


All Students:
• ~2 hours per day (Mon. – Thurs.) + 30 minutes presentation on
Friday
• Research & collaborative ideation
• Feature brainstorming & selection
• Participation in final presentation

Technical Students:
• Technical feasibility MBA Students:
• Development or Integration Roadmap • Business case
• System Architecture Proposal • Strategic approach (build, partner buy?)
• Mockups or Wireframes • Market and financial impact assessment
• POC (bonus points) • Budget & timeline

• 3-4 students per team per school
