The study of the properties of fluid is basic for Description the understanding of the flow or static condition of fluids. The important properties are density, viscosity, surface tension, bulk modulus, and vapor pressure. 1. To identify the different types of fluid and their properties and behavior under various conditions. 2. Know the scientific method strategies to fluid mechanics: analyze qualitatively and quantitatively the problem situation, and propose hypotheses and solutions. 3. Formulate and analyze problems related to the calculation of forces in fluid- Course Objective structure interaction. 4. Gain knowledge of the working Principles of Various hydraulic turbines and solve their basic problems. 5. To describe the working Principles of centrifugal & and reciprocating pumps and solve their basic problems. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to: 1. Demonstrate different types of fluid, their properties, and their behavior under Various conditions. 2. Explain scientific method strategies to fluid mechanics: analyze qualitatively and quantitatively the problem situation, and propose hypotheses and solutions. Course Outcome 3. Solve the forces in fluid-structure interaction. 4. Describe the working Principles of Various hydraulic turbines and solve their basic problems. 5. Acquire knowledge of the working Principles of centrifugal & reciprocating pumps and solve their basic problems.
