1.2 What are your difficulties in

reading comprehension?

IDI 1:

Hmm...like sometimes it's hard to

read and understand, like Im having
a difficulties to understand it

IDI 2:

Well, my difficulties about reading

comprehension is about those
grammar who have deep meaning
like you gonna need it to research it
so that you can understand better,
like when it comes to story like it
have something that you can't
relate hmm you just need to repeat
it three times to understand what is
the meaning of it.

IDI 3:

Like Im riding a motorcycle then I

was the one who's driving it then
there's something a signage
between those ways and i find it
difficult cause I don't understand
what it is trying to say, and I'm
confused.

My difficulties is hmmm, is that I

find it hard to answer the questions
of what my teacher is asking me
specially when were having a oral
recitation and I feel too shy.

My difficulties is that everytime

when someone ask me is that I cant
answer them cause I didn't
understand anything specifically
with those complicated words.

Hmmm... in terms of the question

for me is that I can't understand or I
can't understand those words but I
can read it but how will I answer it if
I can't understand or get it. So I find
it very hard to identify the answers.

Like I cant help but to say to my

own self that I can't do it anymore,
like Im not gonna do my activities
beacuse I can't understand it... and
sometimes I can't read it properly.
2.1 How did you manage your
challenges in reading
comprehension?

IDI 1:

By the help of my brother, he  Help from other

helped me on how to read and
understand.

 Settle my time
Well, for me i handle it my time like
management
something i settle my time
management, yes time
management we need to settle our
time for reading of course.

IDI 3:

Hmm like I didn't mind it, like

 Focus more on reading
instead I focused more in reading
then later on I realized that it is
much important read and practice
on how to understand well.

I managed it in the way that i didn't

let this difficulties to affect me, I  Cheering up my self
cheer up my self to strive harder so
that I can understand better

I managed it, I didn't let those

negative results based from my level
of comprehension ( i didn't  I used it as my
understand better) affect on me, motivation
instead i used it as a motivation to
strive more to understand more of
what I was reading.

I just, like I learn of what is the

meaning of it, I do advance learning
it's because it is for my self also, so  Do advance learning
in the next time if there is a
challenges like this it is just easy for
me to get/understand.

Just like the same, like sometimes I

 Be patience
can say it to my self that it so tiring
but be patience because some
people nowadays are easy to give
up.

2.2 So what are the strategies to

overcome the difficulties on
reading comprehension?

IDI 1:

I asked help from my brother on  Ask help

how to read but not just read but to
understand it more on what is the
meaning of it.

IDI 2:

My strategies is reading the easy  Reading the easy first

steps so that if its hard i can do it
well

IDI 3:

Yes I have so many strategy, I did it

as much as I can, I asked help from
my teacher even it is abcd, abakada  Ask help
and little by little I can understand
and say some English words.

Just that... I... used some old books  Use some books and
from my lola to read it repeatedly, read it repeatedly
so that I can understand better

IDI 5:

My strategy is if there's a word that

I can't understand I research it on
Google so that i can understand well  I research it

I've watched some videos.in

socmed on what is the meaning
and the right pronunciation of this  Watch learning videos
words then i gather some
information from the other apps to
help my self, to be able to
understand it better.

I used Filipino dictionary to translate  Use Filipino dictionary

some deep words to be able to
understand more

3.1 What can you say to your

negative experience on reading
comprehension?

IDI 1:

Ahh the negative experience of  Need to change it

mine all I can say is I need to
change it for my own good and also
to be good readers because if im s
college student it might be difficult
for me to read like documents, so I IT'S NOT THAT GOOD
need to strive hard.

Well, all I can say is hmm its not that

good in the feeling like i feel bad if
you don't know how to read and  It's not that good
understand, that's why

Is like... I feel shy, it's so shy but we

need to not to feel it, they need to
go and ask some assistance to their  I feel shy
teacher then do some practice on
reading to practice their
comprehension skills even though
its abcd

It's bad in the feeling like you feel  It's bad in the feeling
left alone or behind its because of
you don't understand what you are
reading.

All i can say to my negative  It's not that good

experience that I've encountered is
it's not that good in the feeling, like
everytime when someone ask me I
can't answer then it's because I
can't understand it.

Hmmm when its already time and  Disappointed

you don't bring your dictionary, and
there is no Wifi then you need to
understand what you are reading
but you don't get it, like you don't
take it seriously. It turns out that
your disappointed in your own self
just because of that.

students who have difficulties in
reading comprehension?

Is they should make time not to  Make time

concentrate on cellphone rather  Read books
than spending their time on their
cellphone instead they gonna read
some books to exposed their
reading skills even though little by
little as long as they make some
progress

IDI 2: THEY SHOULD READ

My recommendation for them is BOOKS AND

before they direct is they should
 Read easy books
read first some story that are easy UNDERSTAND
to get to understand them well and
to familiarize those words who are
simple, common to be able for them
know what to do

It is much worth it to ask their  Ask their teachers

teachers and they shouldn't be shy  Download an app about
on that and also they should reading
download an app about reading like
dictionary to strengthen their
strategy on that.

Just read and understand what they

All I can say is I do some sleep when

i can't handle it anymore, and just

are far from us I just seek help from
my seatmates or to.my teachers,
just strive harder and be
determined.

me mad cause of i didn't understand
it all but despite all of that just strive

they just can research It in

They need to be teach or seek help  Seek or ask help

from their teachers or parents to be
able to understand it well.

Stay strong and even though you  Stay Strong

trying to learn how to understand
your reading.

a student cause we have no choice  Keep trying to learn &
