Project 1), I am required to conduct a capstone project where Industrial Engineering concepts
can be applied. My approved capstone project is entitled, "The Compliance of Micro and
Small Enterprises to Occupational Safety and Health Standards”. This study seeks to
assess the compliance of MSEs in Isabel, Leyte to the Occupational Safety and Health
Standards as mandated by RA11058, (An Act Strengthening Compliance with Occupational
Safety and Health Standards and Providing Penalties for Violation thereof), implemented by
the DOLE Occupational Safety and Health Center (DOLE-OSHC) in the Philippines. Such is
promulgated to ensure the well-being of the employees, operate ethically and competitively,
and comply with the legal requirements with regard to health and safety.

I believe that this study will be beneficial to your business especially in ensuring the health
and safety of your employees. The researcher identifies your business as one of the
respondents to the aforementioned study. In line with this, I would like to seek permission
