HEBREWS 4:1-2 (MSG) For as long, then, as that promise of resting in him pulls us on to God's goal for us,

we need to be careful that we're not disqualified. We received the same promises as those people in the wilderness, but the promises didn't do them a bit of good because they didn't receive the promises with faith. If we believe, though, we'll experience that state of resting. But not if we don't have faith. 4:10-11 (GNT) For those who receive that rest which God promised will rest from their own work, just as God rested from his. Let us, then, do our best to receive that rest, so that no one of us will fail as they did because of their lack of faith. 4:14-16 (GNT) Let us, then, hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we have a great High Priest who has gone into the very presence of God -Jesus, the Son of God. Our High Priest is not one who cannot feel sympathy for our weaknesses. On the contrary, we have a High Priest who was tempted in every way that we are, but did not sin. Let us have confidence, then, and approach God's throne, where there is grace. There we will receive mercy and find grace to help us just when we need it. 6:1 (NIV) Therefore let us leave the elementary teachings about Christ and go on to maturity... 6:12 (NIV) ...imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised. 10:19, 22-24 Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus,... let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us

hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. 11:1 (KJV) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 12:1-2 (NIV) Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith... 12:28-29 (NIV) Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire. 13:15-16 (HCSB) Therefore, through Him let us continually offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, that is, the fruit of our lips that confess His name. Don't neglect to do good and to share, for God is pleased with such sacrifices.
