Interviewee: Absolutely. I’m Angela Balaba, and I’m deeply passionate about helping
young people build resilience and achieve their dreams. I believe everyone has the
potential to make a difference, no matter their background.
Interviewer: That’s incredible. Was there a moment or experience that sparked this
passion for you?
Interviewee: Yes, definitely. In my own life, I faced a lot of setbacks, especially during
my early years. I had to learn the hard way that failure isn’t the end but a stepping stone.
I wanted to share this perspective with others, so I began speaking about resilience and
personal growth at community events.
Interviewer: That’s really inspiring. Many young people feel like their struggles hold
them back. How would you encourage them to move past those challenges?
Interviewee: I’d say, start by changing how you view obstacles. Instead of seeing them
as limitations, try to see them as learning experiences. For example, one time I failed at a
major project, but instead of giving up, I used what I learned to make my next project
even better. Resilience is a skill, and you build it one step at a time.
Interviewer: Such great advice! Can you share a success story that really captures what
your work is about?
Interviewee: Sure! I remember working with a young person who had almost given up
on finishing school. But after some mentorship and support, they not only graduated but
started mentoring others in their community. Seeing someone turn their life around and
then help others do the same is incredibly rewarding.
Interviewer: That’s amazing. Lastly, what would you say to anyone who feels like their
goals are out of reach?
Interviewee: I’d tell them to take it one day at a time and not compare their journey to
others’. Success doesn’t come overnight; it’s the result of consistent, small efforts. Just
keep going, and remember that even the toughest days are part of your story.
Interviewer: Thank you for sharing those powerful insights! Your story is sure to
inspire many others.
