सारांश
ओडिशा के एक महत्वपूर्ण पक्षी अभयारण्य, मं गलाजोडी आर्द्रभूमि की पादपप्लवक विविधता का पता लगाने का प्रयास सर्वप्रथम किया गया है। इस अध्ययन में शैवाल के 27
वं शों से सं बं धित 61 से अधिक पादपप्लवकों का प्रलेखीकरण किया गया है। इस आर्द्रभूमि से सं बं धित ये सबसे पहले रिपोर्ट हैं। लेपोसिनक्लिस स्पाइरोगाइरोइडस बी. मैरिन व
मेलकोनियन प्रभे. इं डिका के सरी व माल प्रभे. नव. और ट्रैकेलोमोनास आर्मेटा (एह्रेनबर्ग) एफ. स्टीन प्रभे. इं डिका के सरी व माल प्रभे. नव. को विज्ञान के लिए नए अन्वेषण के
रूप में प्रस्तावित किया गए हैं। 8 पादपप्लवक भारत के लिए नए वितरणपरक अभिलेख हैं जबकि 9 पूर्वी भारत के लिए नए अन्वेषण हैं। ओडिशा राज्य के लिए नए सं कलन के
रूप में 14 नए जुड़े हैं। इनमें यूग्लिनोफ़ाइसियन प्रमुख घटक के रूप में हैं।

ABSTRACT
The phytoplankton diversity of Mangalajodi wetland of Odisha, has been explored for the first time. More than 61 taxa
of phytoplankton belonging to 27 genera of algae have been documented. All are first report for the wetland. Two taxon
viz. Lepocinclis spirogyroides B.Marin & Melkonian var. indica Keshri & Mal and Trachelomonas armata (Ehrenberg) F.
Stein var. indica Keshri & Mal have been proposed new to science. 8 taxa are new record for India while 9 taxa are new to
eastern India. 14 taxa are new additions to Odisha. Euglenophycean members are found as dominant component.
