Subjective Part

1. Hazrat Safiyah was a very courageous woman. Discuss?

Answer: After the battle of Uhud, Hazrat Saffiyyah bint Abdul Muttalib was among the

first women to come to the battlefield.

Her brother, Hazrat Hamza had been martyred. His body had been ripped his liver,

ears, nose and other parts of his flesh cut off. The enemy had mutilated his body.

Prophet SAWW was distressed to see her approaching so asked her son Hazrat Zubair

to take her back

She promised to remain calm and patient even though she learned that her brother’s

body was mutilated. So she came and looked at her brother and prayed over him.

2. What is the effect of Tawhid on human life?

Answer: Effects of Tawhid:

Belief in Tawhid produces in the believer a high degree of self-respect and confidence.

It produces in the believer a sense of modesty and humbleness.

It makes him virtuous and conscious of Allah.

The believer does not despair or become heart-broken.

This produces in a believer a strong degree of determination and steadfastness.

3. What is the trait of a hypocrite?

Answer: Allah’s Messenger SAWW describes the breaking of promise as a trait of

hypocrites saying:

“A hypocrite has three traits; when he talks he tells lies; when he makes a promise he

breaks it; and if something is entrusted to him he betrays the trust.”

4. What is Jihad? What is the importance of Jihad in the life of a Muslim?

Answer: The word Jihad is derived from Jehada which means “he strove or exerted

himself” against evil.

Once Allah’s Messenger SAWW described man’s struggle against his own desires and

weaknesses as the greatest Jihad.

The believer however stands for peace, he does not spread mischief and violence

But if the enemy takes mean advantage and attacks, the Holy Quran permits the believer

the use of force to defend himself.

He then fights bravely in the cause of Allah against cruelty, tyranny and injustice.

5. On what two factors does keeping promise depend?

Answer: Keeping a promise depends on two factors: memory and determination. With

these two things fulfilment of promises becomes easy.

Allah had taken a promise from Hazrat Adam AS that he should not approach the

forbidden tree. But Satan whispered evil to him. Hazrat Adam AS forgot his pledge and ate

the fruit of the free forbidden to him. He however repented and his repentance was

accepted by Allah.

6. Why is Allah’s Messenger Muhammad SAWW regarded as ‘the Seal of the Prophets’?

Will there be a Prophet after Prophet Muhammad SAWW? Why?

Answer: When a document is sealed, it is complete. It needs no further additions.

The Prophet Muhammad SAWW closed the long line of Prophets AS. Allah’s teaching is

and will be always continuous but there has been and will be no prophet after Allah’s

Messenger SAWW.

He is the Last of the Prophets. He was sent as a Messenger to whole mankind, to all men,

until the end of this world.

7. What is the function of the Prophets AS?

Answer: Allah has sent prophets at different times. Prophets have come to all lands.

To every nation Allah sent a Messenger. Hazrat Adam AS was the first prophet, Hazrat

Muhammad SAWW is the Last Prophet.The Prophets speak in Allah’s name.

Their duty is to deliver the Message of Allah to men, and to show how the message is to

be translated into practical life.

8. Modern Civilization has failed to provide peace to the mind. Explain.

Answer: Modern civilization has made our life very comfortable.

It has raised the standard of living and provided comfort and ease to people.

It has however failed to provide peace to the mind

Studies in modern science show that a number of illnesses, ranging from simple headache to

serious heart conditions, may in many cases be traced to psychic, not physical troubles.

9. Write the meaning of Surah al-Ikhlas.

Surah Ikhlas:

Say: Allah is One

The Eternal God.

He begets none, nor was He begotten.

None is equal to Him

10. What lesson should we draw from the story of the three men?

Answer: Man should not forget his past.

He should take a lesson from it for his present and the future.

If he had been poor and Allah gave him wealth, or he had been sick and Allah cured him,

then it is not proper that he should forget his past and think that he had never been poor

or sick.
