Course Objectives: Gender studies is an interdisciplinary field of study which focuses the
phenomenon of gender. The study of gender helps students to broaden their understanding of
gender identity and culture, the intersection of gender with race and ethnicity, class and
sexuality. To introduce basic concepts relating to gender and to provide logical understanding of
gender roles.

Course Outcome: The study of this course will facilitate the students to develop the knowledge
about equal society and to analysis of all activity from a gender perspective. They will be able
to learn about the various aspect of gender related issues. Gender has become a very important
word in discussions on development.
