SCRIPT FOR BOOK CHARACTER COSTUME CONTEST

Both: Magandang buhay people of Pasong Santol Elementary School Golden City Annex.
Lorainne: Today, we will be witnessing outstanding talents of our learners as they share their
skills and gifts in conducting the Book Character Costume Contest.
Ollie: One of the objectives of this contest is to promote a love for reading and character
exploration by involving students, teachers, and parents in this meaningful activity.
Lorainne: You are right sir. Another thing is to will develop their creativity, teamwork and the
embodiment of values from literature through engaging presentations that showcase character’s
unique qualities and lessons.
Ollie: So, to begin with, may we request everyone to please stand in our Opening Prayer to be
led by ___________________
Lorainne: Thank you so much. You can now be seated.
So much for that, may I call in our hardworking OIC-School Head, EPS Science to give us our
Opening Remarks, Ma’am Rochelle S. Balete. Let’s give her around of applause.
I. OPENING REMARKS (Ma’am Rochelle S. Balete)
Ollie: Thank you so much Ma’am Rochelle for that inspirational message to all of us. For our
next presentation, May I call in, Ma’am Ertha D. Escalante to give us a performance in the story
telling. Let’ us give her an applause.
II. PRESENTATION (Ertha D. Escalante- Araw sa Palengke)
Lorainne: Thank you so much Ma’am Ertha. We are proudly saying that teachers in PSES-
Golden City are very talented. In fact, Ma’am Ertha also did story telling performances in our
Barangays’ and she’s very happy and overwhelm to share her talent to children.
Ollie: Now to explain the Book Character Costume Contest Proper, let me call in our Reading
Focal Person, as well as the Teacher’s League President, Ma’am Eunice Joanna C. Hayag.
Around of applause please.

- Reading the Categories and Prizes: Eunice Joanna C. Hayag

Lorainne: Thank you so much Ma’am Eunice. I feel now the nervous of our contestant. I know
that you are all excited to all prizes waiting for you. That is why to be fair and square to
everybody, we choose non-teaching personnel as Judges in our Contest. For the introduction of
the Judges, May I call in our Master Teacher I, Ma’am Anny P. Ave) Let’s clap our hands.
III. Introduction of the Judges (Anny P. Ave, Master Teacher I)
Ollie: Thank you so much Ma’am Anny. Now to give us the Criteria for Judging of our Contest,
may we call in another Master Teacher I, Ma’am Violeta C. Malig.
IV. Reading the Judging Mechanics and Criteria (Violeta C, Malig, Master Teacher I)

Lorainne: Thank you Ma’am Violeta. I guess we already settled.


Ollie: Audience, are you ready to see the performances prepared by our learners?
Lorainne: That’s the spirit. How about our contestant? Are you ready to break a leg?
Ollie: Everybody is ready. It is time to start the competition. We will start from the KS1
(Kindergarten to Grade 3) follow by KS2 (Grades 4- Grade 6)
V. Announcement of Winners
Lorainne: We will now be proceeding to the Announcement of Winners in All Categories. Let us
first call the Participants in all Levels. May we request Ma’am Rochelle, Ma’am Violy, Ma’am
Anny to come forward on stage to give the certificate and medals. Let me read the content of
the Certificate of Participation.
Ollie: (KS1 Participants.)
Lorainne: (KS2 Participants)
Ollie: This is the moment of truth. We will now go to the Announcement of Winners in All
Categories. We will start from KS1.
LORAINNE: (KS1 Participants winners 3rd, 2nd and 1st place)
Ollie: (KS2 Participants winners 3rd, 2nd, and 1st place)
Lorainne: Congratulations again to all our winners. This is truly another milestone in the world
of Literature.
Ollie: Hopefully, we inspire learners to read and appreciate the essence of reading book.
Lorainne: For the closing program, May I call in our Reading Coordinator, Ma’am Eunice
Joanna C. Hayag.
