Assignment No 1

Question No 1: How does information and communication technology (ICT) impact our daily lives?
Answer:
1. ICT helps student and teacher with activities that are provided .It improves concentration and
comprehension skills.
2. Through the application of ICT resources in the healthcare sectors, hospitals have been able to reduce their
operational and other associated costs.
3. In free time ICT helps us in playing online games, watching drama, movies through internet.

Question No 2: How has the advent of networks and the internet transformed computer applications in
different sectors of society such as education, healthcare and business?

Answer.
Education:
The Internet plays a very vital role in education. There is no doubt that in this modern era, everyone prefers
Google for their queries, problems, or doubts.

Healthcare:
The relationship between health and the internet has become increasingly important, as the internet plays a vital
role in modern healthcare.
Patients can receive medical advice from home, reducing travel time and making healthcare more accessible for
those with mobility issues or during pandemics.

Business:
Businesses use the internet to reach specific audiences through digital marketing .The internet allows businesses
to create and distribute valuable content through blogs and videos.

Question No 3: How did the development of key milestone like ARPANET ,TCP/IP ,DNS the world wide
Web, broadband and mobile Internet collectively contribute to the current structure and functionality of the
internet?

Answer:
ARPANET:
Arpanet was developed in 1960. ARPANET created by the U.S department of defense. This was the first
network switch to use packet switching allowing computers to communicate affectively.

TCP/IP:
TCP/IP was developed in 1970. It was created by the vint Cerf and bob khan. The fundamental suit of
communication protocol used to connect devices on the internet and most other networks. Provide service to the
application and enable data exchange between programs.
Domain Name System (DNS):
DNS was develop in 1983 .The domain name system was created the Paul Mockapetris. DNS made it easier to
access websites by translating human-readable name ( www.example.com) into IP address that computers. The
user friendly system is crucial for navigation the internet.

World Wide Web:


World Wide Web was developed in 1989. The World Wide Web was created by Sir Tim Berners-Lee. This top of
the internet The Web introduced browser and hyperlinks, making information easily accessible and allowing
users to share content seamlessly.

Broadband:
The broadband was developed in 1990. Broadband was created by the multiple individuals. Broadband made
internet much faster and able to handle more data. Such as streaming video and online gaming.

Mobile Internet:
The Mobile Internet was developed in 2000. The mobile Internet was created by the multiple individuals. It can
also be used in internet mobile phone. Which we can use it in more easy way to get the information and can
improve the gaming experience.

Questions NO 4: How do the principles of browsing, navigation, searching and Web publishing interact with
other internet services like email instant messaging and VoIP and how understanding netiquette enhances the
effectiveness of this interaction?

Answer:
Browsing:
We use this to find websites and obtain information from them. An email link in a browser is a hyperlink that,
when clicked, opens your default emails application to send a message. An instant message link in a browser
opens a chat app when clicked, like WhatsApp or Messenger.
A voice-over link in a browser refers to a link that, when clicked, opens an app or service for voice
communication over the internet, like a VoIP (Voice over IP) call. Being polite and clear in message.

Navigation:
In navigation you can open emails links directly on websites, allowing you to read or send messages quickly
from web-bases email platforms. Navigation helps you use online chat or instant messaging services directly
from Web pages making real-time communication easier.

Searching:
Searching means finding something you need from a larger group of things. An email link with searching allows
you to quickly find an email by clicking on a special link. Instant Messaging link with Searching. This is a
feature in messaging apps that lets you find messages, files, or specific keywords within a conversation.
VoIP lets you make calls over the internet.It also allow you to make voice and video calls over the internet.
Example: In Skype, you can search for a specific contact. Netiquette is a set of polite rules for behaving
respectfully online.

Web publishing:
Posting content like text, images, or videos online for others to view on websites or social media. When we link
email with web publishing. We can add an email link on a website. When we clicked, it opens an email draft to
contact you directly.
Instant messaging can enhance audience engagement by allowing publishers to interact directly with their
audience. VoIP allows for easy recording of interviews.It also use VoIP for helping users with questions about
content directly. Netiquette promotes polite and respectful communication.netiquette helps maintain a respectful
and constructive atmosphere in web publishing.

Question No 5: How does a message travel from a source to a destination and how can this process be
visualized with a logical diagram? Additionally how can a modern AI tool enhance and optimize each step of
this communication process?

Answer:
A message travels from a source to a destination in several steps. First the sender creates the message and
encodes it into a suitable format then message is sent through a communication channel. When message is
reaches the receiving device, it is decoded and understand it .And finally the receiver interprets and understands
the message.

Role of AI:
1. AI can help generate and personalize messages by analyzing user preferences and behavior.
2. In AI, encoding refers to converting information into a format that a computer can understand and process.
3. AI, a medium refers to channel through which data is communicated such as text, audio, or video.
4. Switch points are decision points where the AI chooses between different actions or paths based on data
inputs.
