Integrative Performance Task in Music 6

MANIPULATIVE SCALE BOARD


Materials:
Used Cardboard 1 peso coin
2 Long Bond paper Ruler
Colored Papers Marker
Scissors Plastic Cover (Optional)
Procedure:
1. Cut the used card board measured in long size bond paper.
2. For musical staff, draw the 5 horizontal lines with equal 4 spaces.
3. Draw broken lines above and below the staff serve as ledger line for
major scale.
4. Draw single line on the left most part of the staff, then draw a G-
Clef.
5. Then draw again another double bar line on the right most part of
the staff.
6. Use one peso coin to draw ten circles and cut. These circles serve as
our pitch name in three major scales.
7. Cover your small circles with colored paper.
8. Write the pitch name or letter name on the circles. Use two C, G and
F pitch name for higher notes.
9. Trace again two circles for your sharp and flat symbols write the
symbol on the circle using marker.
10. For making the so- fa syllables, trace and cut 1x 1 or 2x2 inches of
your cardboard and write the so- fa syllable.
11. Then you have now your manipulative scale board.
