MICROSOFT WORD REPORT

Introduction:

Objective of the Assessment:

The primary objectives of this assessment are to:

- Evaluate the effectiveness of Microsoft Word in meeting user needs.

- Identify its strengths and weaknesses in the context of user experience and
performance.

- Provide recommendations for optimizing its use, ensuring that users can
maximize the potential of the software.

How to perform?

OPEN MICROSOFT WORD :

1. Click the Start button to display the Start menu.


2. To use Word, look for the Word icon in the Start menu and click
on it. In case it is not installed search www.office.com in any browser.

3. Every time you start Word, you'll see this window.

ADDING TEMPLATE :

Opening word takes you to the new screen where you’ll find
templates option.
1. Click on the templates option and search for nature theme template.
2. After that add the paragraph given in assignment to start working
with it.
USE PROOFREADING FOR SPELL CHECK
There are red lines on some of the words in the paragraph that you added
earlier and these can be spelling mistakes and grammatical errors. So, to
remove the errors follow these steps-

1. Simply place your mouse courser on that particular word.


2. There you find the correct spelling or way to represent that word, just
click on it and the red line will disappear.

ADDING A PARAGRAPH AND IMAGE IN A WORD DOCUMENT:

1. Click the Start button to open MS Word.


2. After that add the paragraph given in assignment to start working
with it.
3. Now, to add images in your Word document you can add with
help of Insert ribbon menu on the top left corner of your
document. In Insert menu you can find Pictures.
4. Select Insert > Pictures > This Device for a picture on your PC .
After adding paragraph and images the document will look like above
SEPARATING A PARAGRAPH :

1. To apply Page Break, tap to the start of second paragraph.


2. Go to Insert > Page Break.

CHANGING A PAGE ORIENTATION :


1. To change the page orientation to landscape, select Layout
ribbon menu.
2. In the Layout ribbon menu, you’ll find Orientation.
3. Select Landscape from Orientation tab.

ADDING HEADING WITH THE WORD ART :

1. Enter the text of heading.


2. On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click WordArt and then
select the WordArt style that you want.
Insert > Text > WordArt
ADD TABLE OF FIGURES :

1. To add table of figures first you need to add captions to the


images or tables in your document.
2. Select the image then go to References, there you’ll find Insert
Caption menu shown in the image below
3. Now, to add Table of Figures click on to the start of
document where you want to add table of figures.
4. Then go to the Insert > Insert Table of Figures menu.
5. The dialogue box of table of figures open, there you cn
6.select the options how you want to create and then
click ok.
REPLACING A SPECIAL CHARACTERS :

1. Go to Home > Replace.


2. Enter the *,* symbol to find.
3. Then enter *:* symbol under replace.
After that you can see all the *,* are replaced to *:*
INSERT A VIDEO LINK TO THE DOCUMENT :
1. Select the position where you want to place the video.
2. On the Insert tab of the ribbon, select Object.
3. In the Object menu click on create from file and then browse the
video that you want to add to your document.

ADDING SHAPES TO THE DOCUMENT :

1. Select the insert tab.


2. And click the shapes and choose the shape whatever you need.
3. Select the shape and set the position and double click it and drag
from that position.
Strengths:
