General Instructions
1. The centrally prepared date sheet for End Semester Theory Examination December 2024 and General Instructions
for UG & PG (First Year), and PhD course work are shared with the departments.
2. For UG, seating plans and invigilation duties for examination as per the allocated rooms will be centralized
prepared by the dean academic office.
3. For PG exam. Duty roster shall be prepared at the department level considering the invigilation duty
centrally allotted for End Semester Theory Examination December 2024 to avoid clashes. The head of the
department may ensure the invigilation duties are performed by the concerned invigilators.
4. For all the examinations, concerned subject teachers will act as a coordinator for conduct of the examination.
5. The examination, its weightage and duration shall be as per ordinances of the institute.
6. The invigilator(s) shall maintain the proper record of the attendance of students appearing in the examination.
7. For PG exam, the answer sheets/drawing sheets or any other specific material required for conduct of the
examination should be collected by the concerned department from the central Store section well in advance.
However, for UG exam., the material will be provided centrally in the VIVEKANAND LECTURE HALL COMPLEX
as per past practice.
8. For UG exam., The answer sheets collected after the conclusion of the examination should be handed over control
room of the examination centre.
9. For PwD candidates (Divyangjan), special instructions are notified by Dean (Academic) regarding the additional
time of 20 minutes per hour (60 minutes for End Semester Theory examination) has to be given, bringing of lamp
and magnifying glass and more than normal font size of question papers for low vision students etc. are allowed.

Important Instructions for Students

All the students are informed that the following materials are NOT ALLOWED inside the “VIVEKANAND
LECTURE HALL COMPLEX/ Venue of the examination” during examination period
 Mobile phone
 Personal bag
 Study materials (books, notes etc.)
 Palmtop
 Scientific / Programmable calculators with memory
 Course related materials written on appear slip/ calculator cove / clip board/ body parts etc.

Students are advised to ensure that there is no objectionable materials around their seats before the
start of the examinations. If any such materials is found in their possession or near their seat during the
examination, the concerned paper of such individual shall be summarily CANCELLED and further action
as per rule shall be initiated against the concerned student(s). Students are further advised that they
should not bring mobile phone/ personal bags to put it at the gate of the examination hall.
