Learning Competency: Describe the parts of different kinds of plants.

I.LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the end of the lesson, the pupils can:

a. Identify the different parts of plants;


b. Draw a mango tree and label its parts; and
c. Recognize the importance of plants parts in our daily lives.

Now before we go into our proper discussion, let us


start first by asking grace and guidance from our In the name of the father, of the son and of
Almighty God ,kindly lead the prayer Blessy . the holy spirit amen.

Our topic for today is all about Parts of a Plants


But before that, let me present to you our lesson
objectives for today’s lesson’

Everybody read! At the end of the lesson, the pupils can:


a. Define the different parts of plants;

c. Recognize the importance of plants
parts in our daily lives.

But before we start our discussion let us read first our


classroom rules for you to be guided in my class. CLASSROOM RULES

GROW. The yellow mango is equivalent to 10 points,
while the green mango is equivalent to 5 points.

C.EXPLANATION

All plants have a parts. The parts of a plant are roots,


stems, and leaves.

1. ROOTS – a roots hold plants in place. They


absorb water and minerals from the soil.
2. STEM – supports the plant. It holds the leaves,
flowers, and fruits. It carries the water and
minerals absorbed by the roots from the soil
to the different parts of the plants.
3. LEAVES – manufacture food for the plants
using the energy of sunlight. They combine
water from the soil with carbon dioxide from
the air to form sugar, the substance used to
produce others forms of food.

Others plants have flowers, fruits, and seeds.

4. FLOWER- is the reproductive structure of the


plant. It Is important in producing new plants.
5. SEEDS- is the start of the new plant. When
seeds are planted and receive sunlight, water,
and air, they grow into young plants.
Plants also has a similarities and differences.
Example; mango and gumamela Pupils do the activity

D. ELABORATION

Lets have another group activity with the same group.


In your group create a short scenario regarding on
how to give importance and to take care of plants in
daily lives.
The parts of plants are roots, stem, leaves,
