PERIODICITY IN PROPERTIES
1. What would be the IUPAC names & symbols for the elements with atomic
numbers 118, 108, 114 & 119.
2. Arrange the following ions in the order of increasing size:
i) Be2+, Cl-, S2-, Na+, Mg2+, Br
ii) Na+, F-, O2-, Mg2+
3. Write the general electronic configuration of p-block, d-block & f-block
elements.
4. Lanthanoids & actinoids are placed in separate rows at the bottom of the
periodic table. Explain the reason.
5. Name a species that will be isoelectronic with each of the following atoms
