Reasons why humans are irreplacable Future of AI Conclusion Bibliography Q/A Thank you Understanding AI Artificial Intelligence is the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer systems. In general, AI systems work by ingesting large amounts of labeled training data, analyzing that data for correlations and patterns, and using these patterns to make predictions about future states. Visualising Sources of Data for AI From where does AI generate its data?
At its core, AI data refers to the information used by
machine learning algorithms to learn and make decisions. Many companies leverage their internal resources to gather data for AI applications. This data is predominantly generated from the users’ interactions with the company’s services. For instance, Spotify uses individual listening histories to power its AI-driven music recommendation engine. All the data that is generated by AI is actually provided by humans! Weak AI vs. Strong AI Weak AI, or narrow AI, is designed to perform specific tasks, such as virtual assistants or recommendation systems. Strong AI, on the other hand, aims to exhibit human-like intelligence across various cognitive tasks, potentially leading to robots that can think and understand autonomously. What is Strong AI? Strong AI is capable of behaving and performing actions in the same ways human beings can. AI mimics human intelligence, and is able to solve problems and learn news skills in ways similar to our own. Strong AI can generalize knowledge and apply that knowledge from one task to another, plan ahead according to current knowledge and adapt to an environment as changes occur. As it doesn’t actually exist yet, the only true examples of AGI are found in works of science fiction like Star Trek: The Next Generation, Wall-E. NEWS FLASH!! We are witnessing an era of Weak AI! But what really is weak AI?
Today's AI is considered weak — even
powerful chatbots still fail basic comprehension tests, and algorithms falter in unfamiliar environments. Weak AI lacks human consciousness, although it may be able to simulate at times. With machine learning, weak AI systems can attain and even surpass human- level capability on particular skills like chess or facial recognition. However, they remain confined to pre-defined objectives on curated data, unable to transfer knowledge or reason broadly. Will AI replace “AI Won’t Replace Humans Human Intelligence? — But Humans With AI Will Replace Humans Without AI”
Since it is humans who are developing AI
applications through programming and algorithms, automation makes it easier to replace manual labour, and today, in every sector, these AI technologies are making it easier to complete complex tasks."AI can replace jobs but not humans". The jobs that require very little creativity and a lot of manual labour can be done by robots incorporating AI but tasks requiring high IQ and EQ cannot be performed well by AI. The Future of AI AI's future includes smarter assistants, self- driving cars, and personalized healthcare. It could revolutionize industries by automating tasks and enhancing decision- making. However, managing its ethical impact and ensuring human oversight will be crucial to harness AI's potential safely and responsibly. Conclusion The answer is yes and no. AI is intelligent in the sense that it can learn very quickly and can mimic human intelligence. But at its core its just a machine that is trained by humans by providing data and does not have a mind of its own. So if something doesn’t possess a brain how can it be regarded as intelligent? The development of AI is currently being monitored by humans, who also implement all required security measures. If in future, the world witnesses the rise of strong AI then it could be regarded as intelligent and could replace humans, but as of now it poses no such risk.
