Scope of the NaviPac Course
Learning Objectives: The course is structured around a general curriculum with the aim being to furnish the trainees with
a broad understanding of the EIVA NaviPac online data acquisition and navigation software solution and make them
confident it on a vessel. To enhance this, typical construction support and simple acquisition scenarios are used as
examples throughout the training. For the most part, the course is conducted as hands-on training, thus taking advantage
of the comprehensive simulation functionalities that have been implemented into the NaviPac software solution.
By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:
Install the relevant NaviSuite software packages.
Understand the basic architecture of NaviPac.
Configure NaviPac with relevant instruments, geodesy, objects etc.
Run various programs for different tasks (calibration, documentation, QA).
Log survey data for different tasks and in different formats.
Start, configure and use the Helmsman’s Display program.
Create and manipulate waypoints and runlines.
Use different map background formats.
Control the logging process from the Helmsman’s Display.
Start and configure the Online3D utility.
Target Group: The course is aimed towards surveyors who have some experience with offshore survey work and basic
knowledge of hydrographic surveying.
Entry Level: No prior knowledge of the EIVA software solutions is required. The language of instruction is English.
Duration: The duration of the course is 3 days, from 9 A.M. to 4 P.M., including breaks.
