Note: All questions are compulsory. The marks allotted for


each question are indicated against each question. Write
your Name, Enrolment Number, AI name, and Subject on
the top of the first page of the answer sheet.

1. Answer any one of the following questions in about 40-60 words.

(a) Sunidhi is entering the data in a spread sheet. She wants to change the format of the date and
time. Help her with the steps to change date and time in a cell.

Ans. To help Sunidhi change the date and time format in a spreadsheet, she can follow these steps:

1. Select the Cell(s): Click on the cell or range of cells containing the date and time.

2. Open Format Cells Dialog: Right-click on the selected cell(s) and choose "Format Cells" from the
context menu.

3. Choose Date/Time Format: In the Format Cells dialog box, go to the "Number" tab, select "Date"
or "Time" from the Category list.

4. Select Desired Format: Choose the desired date or time format from the list of available formats.

5. Apply Changes: Click "OK" to apply the new format to the selected cell(s).

2. Answer any one of the following questions in about 40-60 words.

a) Aman saved a document “Application” on his computer. He wants to take the print of the
document but he is not able to find the document. List the various steps to search for a file or a
folder to help Aman.

1. Open File Explorer: Click on the File Explorer icon or press `Windows + E`.

2. Use the Search Bar: Type "Application" in the search bar located at the top-right corner of File

3. Answer any one of the following questions in about 40-60 words.

a) Mohini has created a file named “Office”. She wants to rename the file as “New Office”. List out
the various steps to rename a file or a folder.

Ans. To help Mohini rename her file from "Office" to "New Office," she can follow these steps:

1. Locate the File: Open File Explorer and navigate to the location where the file "Office" is saved.

2. Select the File: Click on the file "Office" to select it.

a) What do you understand by Typing Screen Objects? Define Insertion Point, Mouse Pointer and
End-of-document Marker with reference to Typing Screen Objects.

2. Mouse Pointer: The mouse pointer, or cursor, is a graphical icon on the screen that moves as you
move the mouse. It allows you to select text, click on icons, and interact with various elements on
the screen. The pointer changes shape depending on the context, such as an I-beam for text
selection.

3. End-of-document Marker: This marker indicates the end of the document. It is usually a

5. Answer any one of the following questions in about 100-150 words.

a) Hina wants to install software in her computer. Help her to install the software, and state the
steps to do so. But she made a mistake in installing the software, and now she wants to remove
the installed software. List the steps to uninstall the software.

1. Download the Installer: Visit the official website of the software and download the installer file.

2. Run the Installer: Locate the downloaded file and double-click to run the installer.

3. Follow Instructions: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process. This

clicking "Install."

4. Finish Installation: Once the installation is complete, click "Finish" to close the installer.

• Uninstalling Software:

1. Open Control Panel: Click on the Start menu, type "Control Panel," and press Enter.

2. Navigate to Programs: In the Control Panel, click on "Programs" or "Programs and Features."

3. Select the Software: Find the software you want to uninstall from the list of installed programs.

4. Uninstall: Click on the software name, then click "Uninstall" or "Remove." Follow the on-screen
prompts to complete the uninstallation process.

These steps will help Hina install and uninstall software on her computer efficiently.

6. Prepare any one of the following projects in about 500 words

a) Radha needs to demonstrate to her friends, the functioning of a word processor. Help her in
performing the following steps:

a) Create a new document from the menu bar (using the prescribed short cut key). Also write the
steps.

- Using the Shortcut Key:

- Press `Ctrl + W` on the keyboard to close the document.

1. Open the Document:

2. Rename the Document:
