NAVADURGA SADHANA
Performing Nav Durga Sadhana at home requires dedication, purity, and sincerity. Here's a step-by-step guide: Ensure that you are available on every day of this Navratri to do the sadhana.
Preparation:
1. Choose a quiet, clean space for sadhana.
2. Set up a Durga altar with: - Durga image or idol - Red cloth - Flowers (especially marigold and hibiscus) - Incense - Diya (lamp of ghee) -Give some nividhaya to maa durga - Puja materials (e.g., bell, conch) 3. Fast or maintain a simple diet during sadhana. 4. Rise early for Brahma Muhurta (4:30-6:00 am). 5 . Make a shakti yantra like this in a copper plate and set it infront of maa durga. Caution -: Don't put any flower in this yantra. 6. Put a photo or a idol of ganesh ji on the right side of Durga maa.
7. Use red chandan mala for the jap(optional)
Daily Rituals (9 days):
Day 1-2: Shailaputri and Brahmacharini
1. Morning: Bathe, wear clean clothes. 2. Offer water, flowers, and prayers to Shailaputri. 3. Chant: "Om Shailaputriyei Namaha" (108 times). 4. Meditate on Shailaputri's peaceful energy.
Day 3-4: Chandraghanta and Kushmanda
1. Offer prayers, flowers, and naivedya (food).
2. Chant: "Om Chandraghantaye Namaha" and "Om Kushmandaye Namaha" (108 times). 3. Visualize Chandraghanta's protection and Kushmanda's abundance.
Day 5-6: Skandamata and Katyayani
1. Perform puja with red flowers and akshat (unbroken rice).
2. Chant: "Om Skandamate Namaha" and "Om Katyayanye Namaha" (108 times). 3. Seek Skandamata's strength and Katyayani's courage.
Day 7-8: Kalaratri and Mahakali
1. Offer prayers, black flowers, and sesame seeds.
2. Chant: "Om Kalaratrye Namaha" and "Om Mahakalye Namaha" (108 times). 3. Meditate on Kalaratri's transformative energy.
