SPEAKING PROJECT- 1st Term

1. Select the topic

Choose one of the following topics dealt with throughout units 1 and 2.

 An informative exhibit about a sport.


It must include its history, rules, main competitions, equipment, famous players
and more facts that you consider to be interesting to comment on.

 A presentation of a unique place in the world.


It must include its location, characteristics, wonders, activities to do there, time
to visit and more details you think relevant to be added.

2. Instructions

 Try to be creative and original. You can use whatever you need, images, music,
paintings, power points, computers, light projectors, anything.
 In the presentation you must include as much information as posible.
 You have to explain why you like it so much, give at least two or three reasons.
 When speaking it will last from 3 to 5 minutes mínimum, there is no máximum.
 When recording a video, you have to appear speaking in English all the time. I
have to see your face and hear your voice.
 Use a silent environment when recording and practice the speaking and
pronunciation before. You can use this link to practice pronunciation and

 Do NOT read your presentation. It has to be natural speaking. The more you
practice, the easier it is.
 Practice your presentation once or twice with people in front of you, to make as
real as posible, that way you can control the time it takes.
