Abstract
Human Rights are moral Principles and rights that belong to a person from his birth
to his death. The ideology of Human Rights begins with the evolution of Mankind.
Some basic concepts of Human Rights Are Freedom, Equality, Justice, and Human
Dignity. The concept of Human Rights was initiated with the victory of Cyrus over
Babylon. Islam has played a crucial role in the evolution of Human Rights. The last
Sermon of Prophet Muhammad SAW was all about equality, justice, and Human
Rights. The latest form of Human Rights is the Universal Declaration of Human
Rights. West always act as a pioneer of Human Rights but plays a hypocritical role
regarding this as Muslims in Western Asia and the West always struggled to get their
basic Rights. After the attacks of 9/11 and 7/7, the West further infringed on the
Rights of Muslims. They declared Islam a terrorist religion and spread the ideology
of Islamophobia to snatch the fundamental Rights of Muslim societies in the West.
After the enormous loss of life and economy in World Wars, the West felt the need
to implement the laws of Human Rights that Islam had given to Mankind fourteen
hundred years ago. Although there is not much difference in the interpretation of
human rights between the West and Islam, the West is still unable to implement and
follow these rights properly. This article will elaborate on the negative acts of the
west regarding human rights for Muslim societies and also explain the rudiments of
Human Rights under the Light of Islamic teachings and UDHR by arguing different
points and events.
Keywords: Human Rights, Islam, Islamophobia, West, Last Sermon, UDHR.
