Read the following passage carefully and answer the questions that follow.

Christmas was always a magical time for the town. Streets were decorated with
twinkling lights that danced in the evening breeze, and the smell of freshly baked
cookies mingled with the crisp scent of pine. Children eagerly awaited Santa's
arrival, their excitement growing as the days counted down. Families gathered in
warm, cozy homes to exchange gifts, share meals, and celebrate the season of
togetherness.

For young Lucy, Christmas held a special meaning. Every year, she would help her
grandmother prepare the family’s cherished fruit cake recipe, a tradition that had
been passed down for generations. They would spend hours in the kitchen, laughing
as they measured, stirred, and tasted. As they worked, Lucy's grandmother would
share stories of past Christmases, teaching her the importance of family, gratitude,
and kindness.
On Christmas Eve, the family would gather in the living room, listening to carols and
