Cybercrime cases in china was surged into 47% to 726,000, and the indictments for
telecoms fraud rose nearly 67% to about 51, 000 in 2023, according to National People’s
Congress in March 2024 by the supreme People’s Procuratorate.
It was recorded the computer crimes, including social media fraud, jumped 36.2%
involving 323, 000 people.

Cybercrime cases in the Philippines rose by 21.84% in the first quarter of 2024,
according to the Police Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG).
From January to March, the ACG recorded 4, 469 cybercrimes compared to 3, 688 cases
during the same period in 2023.The top three crimes that contributed to the spike were online
selling scams at 990 cases, debit and credit card fraud at 309 and investment scans at 319.

2016 to 2022. From January to July 2022, there were 11, 367 reported cases of cybercrime.

In 2020, there are 84,764 total complaints about cybercrime. 20,218 (23.8%) complain about
money fraud-related internet crimes. 7, 966 (9.4%) hacking complaints, 6,023 (7.1%)
cyber harassment, and 6,004 (7.1%) cyber defamation. Which accounts for 47.4% of Pakistan's
cybercrime rate. Pakistan must strengthen its cybersecurity measures to avoid severe
consequences such as financial loss and data leakage, as highlighted in the above cybercrime
statistics.

Internet users in India continued to fall victims to cyberattacks with nearly a quarter of
users, 20%, falling victims to cyber threats in the first quarter of 2024. While nearly 22.9% users
were attacked by web-borne threats, 20.2% users were found to be vulnerable to local threats
during the same period.
India ranked number 10 in cybercrime with frauds involving people to make advantage
fee payment being the most common type when it comes to cybercrime.

the globe’s key cybercrime hotspots by ranking the most significant sources of cybercrime at a
