Admission Notes 2024 Entry
Admission Notes 2024 Entry
Due to the extremely large number of applications received by CCKG each year for the limited
number of School places available in the entry year, it is necessary for the School to apply strict rules
for the processing of applications. These rules are set out in detail below. We regret the need for
the strictness of the rules, but they are necessary in order to administer the application process
properly and smoothly.
The responsibility for the submission of application forms and compliance with the rules set out rests
with the applicants and CCKG accepts no liability or responsibility whatsoever in respect of such
applications. Applications that do not meet the necessary age and documentary requirements
cannot qualify as valid applications and will be disqualified without notice. We also wish to point
out that the submission of an application form does not guarantee an invitation to interview.
• Application Form (with a recent photograph of the child glued to the form).
• Three stamped, ($3.30) self-adhesive, self-addressed, C5 size envelopes with your
child’s name and date of birth on the front at the left-hand bottom corner.
• A copy of the child’s Birth Certificate.
• A copy of the child’s Baptism Certificate and proof of Church attendance from
Minister of Church attended (if applicable).
2. An administration charge of $40 (FORTY), payable by cheque only, will apply to each form
on submission. Please also include the cheque with the Application Form. Cheques should
be made payable to ‘Christ Church Kindergarten’ with the applicant’s name, date of birth, and
the cheque account holder’s mobile telephone number, written clearly on the back. Please
make sure there are no typos on the cheques. We will be unable to process the application if
the cheques are returned for any reason.
3. Please fill in the form carefully and accurately. No corrections can be made after the School
receives the application. Attach all documents to the application form with a paper clip
(please do not staple them).
4. CCKG is part of Christ Church, Kowloon Tong. We are particularly pleased to receive
applications from families who worship regularly at Christ Church. However, please note
that giving false information about this or any other matter will result in the application being
rejected.
5. Only those children born between DECEMBER 2020 to DECEMBER 2021 will be
considered. Children born in other years are ineligible to apply. Please note that the
School will not take responsibility for any inconvenience, expense etc., caused to ineligible
applicants who submit application forms.
6. CCKG is an Anglo-Chinese School and the first medium of instruction is English. All
interviews for admission will be conducted primarily in English.
7. Please note that admission to CCKG does not guarantee admission into any particular primary
school including Diocesan Preparatory School, Diocesan Boys’ Primary Division or Diocesan
Girls’ Junior School.
8. Please return the form by Thursday, October 31 at the latest. Late forms will not be
accepted.
9. We will send you an email to acknowledge receipt of your form. We recommend a gmail
account for communication with the School. Please check your spam folder.
PLEASE NOTE:
Applicants will be notified BY POST of the interview procedures during the first week of December.
Please do NOT contact the School about interviews before then. However, if you have not
received any information regarding an interview for your child by Thursday, December 5, 2024
then, and only then, please contact the School.
Due to the large number of applicants, we regret we cannot reply to enquiries about your child’s
application in the meantime.
This information is correct for the school year 2024 - 2025, but is subject to change without notice.

Curriculum: We use an integrated and thematic approach. It covers a broad range of subjects:
Language (English and Chinese); Mathematics; Music; Art; Science; and Religious
Education. We place a strong emphasis on language acquisition and the
development of a positive self-image in children as individuals and as learners.
Reading in both English and Chinese is at the heart of the curriculum. We seek to
be a ‘reading school’. We hope that every child who comes to CCKG will acquire a
love of books and reading as the foundation for life-long learning. Our teaching
approach is interactive allowing students to learn both through directed play,
discovery, and more structured activities. In addition to emphasizing the importance
of academic achievement, we stress throughout the curriculum the importance of
Christian values and attitudes, good manners, and self-discipline.
