Brake System

Fungsi utama dari Spring Brake Valve adalah untuk mendistribusikan tekanan udara Supply dari
kompressor ke airtank dan spring brake chamber. Selain itu Spring Brake Valve juga berfungsi
untuk mengatur tekanan udara yang terlalu tinggi atau rendah.
Brake System

Relay Valve berfungsi sebagai pengatur aliran udara pada sistem air brake, yaitu proses service
brake. Tekanan udara pada foot valve dikontrol oleh tuas rem dan foot brake, ketika diaktifkan
tekanan udara masuk ke port service di relay valve yang menyebabkan katup pada relay valve aktif
(terbuka), sehingga udara bertekanan mengalir ke service brake chamber. Bila service brake
chamber teraliri udara maka akan terjadi pengereman.
Brake System

Air tank berfungsi sebagai penampung udara bertekanan yang berasal dari spring brake valve
atau udara dari kompressor. Ukuran dan jumlah air tank bergantung pada banyaknya spring
brake chamber yang digunakan dalam sistem pengereman. Tekanan udara di air tank berkisar
110 psi.
Brake System

Brake Chamber berfungsi sebagai penggerak utama dalam mekanisme pengereman. Air brake
chamber menerima tekanan udara yang berasal dari Relay Valve (service) maupun Spring Brake
Valve (supply) yang kemudian mendorong slack adjuster sehingga terjadi pengereman.

Brake chamber akan menerima udara yang berasal dari spring brake dan relay valve.

Any deviation from this schematic or brake kit contents as supplied may invalidate ADR compliance. Relative postion of valve/s & tank/s on schematic is for
guidance only - valves must be positioned to keep air line lengths within maximum allowable limits indicated for compliance with ADR38 response times.
Note: If springbrake service volume permits, smaller tanks may be used. Kit will be delivered with air tanks approporiate to springbrake size nominated.
This kit is available with optionalABS as P/N ABS04A... ('4S/2M' configuration ONLY). ABS modulators (items 16 & 17) replace R12 service relay valve (item 15).
