Unit 1 What influences your life?


Every person and thing in a person’s life will have some influence on a person.
For example, one life experience can change a child’s outlook on like. When I
was 10 years old, something unforgettable happened in my life. I was walking
on the street, and didn’t see the car. Before the drunken driver almost ran over
me, a man ran, grabbed my wrist, and pulled me back. Because of that
incident, I was able to save my life.

Unit 2 How do you go to school?


There are many different ways to go to school. Some students take bikes or
buses to school. My school is close to my home, so I usually go to school on
foot. I enjoy meeting my classmates on the street. I sometimes ride my bike
when I am late for school. I know walking to school is good for my health, so I
prefer to walk to school

Unit 3 Are you a passive person?


I am a passive person. I am hard to get to know. I feel nervous when I am
around new people. I prefer to stay alone than to stay as a group. I value
empathy and harmony. I am organized. When I face a sudden change, I feel
frustrated.

Unit 4 What’s your favorite season?


There are four seasons in my country; spring, summer, fall, and winter. Among
those, my favorite is spring. In spring, I can go picnic with my friends and plant
new seeds in my garden. I always get so excited when spring is around the
corner. I feel delighted

Unit 5 Merry Christmas!


My favorite holiday is Christmas. On my favorite holiday, I usually write
Christmas cards to everyone I love. The reason why this is my favorite holiday
is because I get to receive gifts and see a play at my church. I always get so
excited when Christmas is around the corner. I feel pleased.

Unit 6 Do you believe in Santa Claus?


When I think of Santa Claus, I can picture a sled led by reindeer on the sky.
When I found out about Saint Nicholas, I was moved by his goodness. I think
Saint Nicholas is a very good man. I wish I could have a warm heart like his. I
want to help others by donating some food for the Food Bank to honor Saint
Nicholas’ goodness.

Unit 7 Tell me your dream.


Everyone has different dreams, and each is precious. I have a dream, too. My
dream is to become a writer. In order to make my dream come true, I need to
read many books and practice writing. When I picture myself as a famous
writer, I get so excited.
Unit 8 No Cheating!
Cheating means copying someone else’s work. Cheating is a very serious
matter, but not everyone thinks so. What can be some examples of cheating?
Copying a friend’s homework or test, lying to people you love are a few
examples. Cheating is an unfair thing to do. We should keep that in mind and
be more careful especially not to cheat ourselves.

Unit 9 Eat Out or In?


My family sometimes eats out at a restaurant. We usually go to VIPS because
the place is good for families to eat and enjoy the time. My family usually
orders some steak and salad bars, and we talk about pretty much everything. I
prefer eating out at a restaurant because it is fun and food is delicious.

Unit 10 Television
I usually watch TV for 2 hours a day. My favorite genre is comedy, and my
favorite TV program is called Gag Concert. I love the show because everyone
on the show is funny. I think watching TV is good for us because TV gives us a
lot of information.

Unit 11 Ants on the Ground


Butterflies are insects. Their bodies have wings. They can move by their wings.
They eat pollen, and you can find them mostly near flowers. They don’t live in
groups. They are important to nature because they help plants to pollinate.

Unit 12 How to Make Teddy Bear Sundaes


Let’s make some fried rice! Making fried rice is very simple. First, you need
ingredients, and they are carrots, onions, zucchini, and ham. Once you have all
the ingredients, chop them and fry them on the pan for a few minutes. Then
add rice to the fried vegetables. The last step is to enjoy your wonderful meal!
