Activating The Grace Of God To Boost

The Grace of God has been the source of controversy in the body of
Christ because of the various takes on what it is and what it
represents.

This discourse will strictly be restricted to some of the attributes of the

Grace of God required to live a life that brings glory and honour to the
name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

What Then Is Grace?

Grace is Jesus Christ. It is the gift of God which is predicated on his love,
that grants all men who embrace it immunity and deliverance (Ephesians
2:8&9, Romans 5:11-end).

Grace is the enablement to live above sin (Titus 2:11).

The Grace of God is all the possibilities made available to a believer

through the person of Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 9:8[AMP], 1 Peter 5:10,
2 Corinthians 8:9, John 1:17).

The Grace of God is the divine influence of God that comes upon a thing or
person to cause all he/she does to produce results. It is also the reward of
Obedience (Genesis 22:18).

1
The Grace of God is the expression of the wisdom of God that translates to
a unique display of excellence, understanding and knowledge (Daniel
1:17-20, Exodus 31:1-6).

Some Attributes Of The Grace Of God

Having gone through the several definitions of the Grace of God, there are
some of its attributes you need to know.

1. Grace Sponsors Exemption

The grace of God hides its beneficiaries from danger. By the reason of this
divine influence any negative occurrence slated to destabilise anything or
person under its unction is averted (Exodus 10:23, Exodus 8:22, Acts
27:22).

2. Grace Is A Qualifier

Many have wrongly understood this attribute of the Grace of God to mean a
call to laziness.

This attribute of the Grace of God kicks in when you have done all you can
do and still have nothing to show for it, or when people write you off.

Joseph and David are good examples of the qualifying power of the Grace
of God (1 Samuel 16:11, Genesis 41:14-46).

3. Grace Is An Activator

The Grace of God has the power to activate a unique ability to understand
concepts and to impart or enhance a skill (Luke 24:45, Exodus 31:1-6,
Daniel 1:17).

4. Grace Brings Increase

This attribute of Grace was always at work in the life of Abraham. The bible
recorded that his livestock and that of Lot grew to the extent that their
servants began to clash due to space.

Even after his death, you see it playing out in the life of Isaac in Genesis
26:12. Jacob also enjoyed this attribute of Grace when he testified in
Genesis 32:10

5. Grace Connects To Abundance

Apostle Paul reveals the possibility of this attribute of the Grace of God in 2
Corinthians 9:8 (AMP) and also in 2 Corinthians 8:9.

6. Grace Produces Growth & Expansion

Jesus’ fame spread fast, far and wide by the manifestation of this Grace as
attested to in Mark 1:28.

7. Grace Brings Influence & Honor

Abraham enjoyed this attribute of the Grace of God. In Genesis 14:14-16,

you see him mobilise his men to defeat several kings and save his nephew
Lot who was kidnapped.

8. Grace Carries Favor

It was this attribute of the Grace of God that made Esther the most
preferred in Esther 2:17.

The children of Israel also enjoyed the favour that comes by Grace in Ezra
6:1-13.

It is however important to note that though the Grace of God has been
made available to every believer, it can still remain dormant.

2 Kings 4:31 shows this. It reads: And Gehazi passed on before them,
and laid the staff upon the face of the child; but there was neither voice, nor

3
hearing. Wherefore he went again to meet him, and told him, saying, The
child is not awaked.

Also, according to Galatians 2:21, a person can frustrate the Grace of God
from gaining full expression.

The Grace of God will only work when you have a vessel to host it. A
vessel, in this case, refers to an idea, a business or any place where you
are adding relevant value.

God cannot be mocked the bible says, because it is what you sow that you
will reap. Basic mathematics teaches that zero multiplied by a hundred
million is still equal to zero (0 x 100,000,000 = 0).

How Can You Activate The Grace Of God To Work For You?

1. Studying & Meditating On The Word Of God

2 Peter 1:2 points us to one of the ways the Grace of God can be activated
and multiplied in your life.

It says: Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of
God, and of Jesus our Lord.

In other words, the Grace of God in your life can grow and multiply as you
make a conscious effort to know more about Jesus and walk in his
precepts.

Meditation entails the use of your mind to visualise. It drives the word of
God deep into your Spirit using pictures.

It is one of the fastest ways to appropriate and activate the Grace of God
contained in the scriptures into your life, as evident in 2 Corinthians 3:18.

It says: But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the
Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the
Spirit of the Lord.

2. Service

Diligently serving an organisation or a person in any capacity is one of the

ways of activating the Grace of God.

Colossians 3:22-25 says: Servants, obey in all things your masters

according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers; but in
singleness of heart, fearing God;

And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for
ye serve the Lord Christ.

But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done:
and there is no respect of persons.

God rewards people who faithfully serve and also go out of their way to
ensure the well-being of others.

3. You can release the Grace of God upon your life through prayer

Prayer is communication with your Father as well as an act of

vulnerability. When you engage in prayer you are humbling yourself before
God.

It shows a total reliance on him for strength and help. The Bible in Romans
10:13 says that anyone who calls upon the name of the Lord for help shall
be saved.

It also says that those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy, and
no shadow of shame will darken their faces - Psalm 34:5 (NLT).

When you pray, you are invoking the Grace of God over your petitions
before the father.

4. Honoring God

Honouring God by keeping his word and living a holy and sanctified life
attracts his Grace upon your life.

Here is what Jesus had to say about the advantage of honouring God by
keeping his word in John 15:7: If ye abide in me, and my words abide in
you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Psalm 1:1-4 paints an even clearer picture. It reads: Blessed is the man
that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of
sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day
and night.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth
his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he
doeth shall prosper.

The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

5. Making declarations/confessions

You can release the Grace of God on anything you are involved in through
your words.

When you release the word of God (the word that aligns with his revelation
in the scriptures) from your mouth, it carries the same potency and
authority as if God himself is speaking.

Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and
the light shall shine upon thy ways - Job 22:28.

Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him,
What doest thou? Ecclesiastes 8:4.

6
6. Spending quality time with God

When you make out time to be in the presence of God, you build intimacy
with him and there is always a rub-off on your Spirit and the work of your
hands.

One of the secrets of Jesus’ success in ministry was that he always spent
quality time with his father.

Jesus’ endorsement in Matthew 17:5 came as a result of intimacy. It

reads: While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and
behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in
whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.

7. Being A Person Of Value

Anyone who intentionally develops himself/herself so as to add value to an

organisation or person is a candidate for God's grace.

The generous soul will be made rich, And he who waters will also be
watered himself - Proverbs 11:25 (NKJV).

Matthew 25:31-end clearly shows how important a person of value is to

God.

Value simply means the benefit a person or an organisation derives from

interacting with you.

8. Praise & Thanksgiving

When you praise and thank God, you invite him on the scene to release his
mighty Grace that causes change and breaks limitations.

No wonder Hebrews 13:15 implores us to offer the sacrifice of praise to

God continually.

7
9. Giving Financially To The Poor

Proverbs 19:17 says: Being kind to the poor is like lending to the LORD;
he will reward you for what you have done.

Imagine what it means for God to be indebted to you. Take a look at Isaiah
58:7-9 and see how God prioritises the life of anyone who gives to the
poor.

The scripture reads: Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, And that
you bring to your house the poor who are cast out;

When you see the naked, that you cover him, And not hide yourself from
your own flesh?

Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall
spring forth speedily,

And your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the Lord
shall be your rear guard.

Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; You shall cry, and He
will say, ‘Here I am.’

Giving to the poor will cause God to shield you with his Grace.

I pray that the Grace of God will gain expression in everything that
concerns you in the name of Jesus. Amen!
