capacitor unit shall conform to IS-13925, (Part-I &II)/ IEC 60871-
1&2&4. Discharge time for capacitor unit shall be 600sec as per IS:
13925-1. Make:- Seimens/Schneider /L&T.

(ii)The above capacitor bank shall be provided with VCB of rating
12kV , 630A , 31.5kA , 3 ph , 50 Hz with inbuit CT / PT and flush
mounted Meters / protection relays as follows :Meters: (1) Analog
voltmeter with (2) Analog ammeter with ASS (3) MVAr
Meter.Protection relays: (1) Over current relay (2) E/F relay (3)
Over voltage relay (4) Under volage relay (5) On delay timer (6)
Master trip relay., Make L&T/Siemens/Schneider.

(iii)The incomer section of the APFC panel shall be provided with

an off-load isolator with earth switch and shall be of rating 630A,
11kV, 25 kA/1sec. The panel shall also house in built CT/PT and
surge arrestors of suitable rating. The panel shall house on the top
portion flush mounted 6 stages APFC relay with RS-485
communication port, Multi function meter, auto manual selector
switch and emergency push button. In addition : flush mounted
Meters / protection relays as follows :Meters: (1) Analog voltmeter
with (2) Analog ammeter with ASS (3) MVAr Meter.Protection
relays: (1) Over current relay (2) E/F relay (3) Over voltage relay
(4) Under volage relay (5) On delay timer (6) Master trip relay.,
Make L&T/Siemens/Schneider.

(iv)Each capacitor step shall be protected with 3nos of 11kV HRC

fuses. Make:- Cooperbussmann/equivalent

(v) Capacitor duty vaccum contactors appropriate rating for

capacitor switching for each step confirming to IS-9046.Each
capacitor step is provided with the following:
- 400A, 12 kV, SF6, Vacuum contactor coil voltage 110V DC with
electrical latching.IEC 62271-106, IEC 60420 / IEC 60470
- 3nos 12 kV HRC Fuses.
- 0.2% series reactor (aluminium wound)

(xvi) All accessories prewired with suitable size conductor cable
insulated with fibre glass insulation to withstand high temperature,
housed in cubical panel made out of 2 mm thick MS sheet factory
made duly powder coated front and rear openable with Colour RAL
7038 (light grey). locking arrangement complete . Enclosure
Systems complying to IEC 62262 (IK 10 certification for external
mechanical impacts) .with foundation as required or recommended
by manufacturer. Make of panel: Schneider CAT No:-
H500BRA016 or Equivalent of Make L&T/Siemens. Note:
APFC panel shall be manufactured by original manufacturer i.e.
Schneider /L&T/Seimens only. The approved vendor for capacitor
banks should have their own manufacturing facility for major
components such as capacitors, reactors, contactors, control and
protection relays and enclosure systems.The firms specified cannot
authorize any other vendors to manufacturer APFC panel on their
behalf and the panel so manufactured will not be accepted.
