1. HOW TO REGISTER ON THE PORTAL
1. Go to the main Universitaly webpage: https://www.universitaly.it/
2. Click on the First Steps in Italy box (circled on the picture)
Read carefully the 10-steps-path to Study in Italy page.

1. At step number 4, check if you need a Visa

2. If you need a visa, click on the Login red button at step number 6
You will be automatically redirected to this sign-in page.
Click on register.
Fill in the registration form

Select «English»
by clicking here!
Important!
Enter your
personal data
exactly as it
shown on your
Italian tax code tab: if you were not born in Italy, the
passport. system will automatically generate an Italian tax code
for you. Please note that this code is not your official
fiscal code, and that you cannot use it for
administrative purposes once in Italy. The official fiscal
code application procedure is available here: https://
www.yesmilano.it/en/study/how-to/get-italian-tax-
code-codice-fiscale

Click on save when you have completed your registration


Once you have saved your registration, check
your inbox and follow the instructions.

You can now log-into the Universitaly


portal.
Use the Username and password that
Universitaly sent you via email.

ATTENTION:
once logged in, you will be asked to
change your password
2. HOW TO COMPLETE THE PRE-ENROLLEMENT
APPLICATION
Once you are logged in, click on pre-enrolment application
Click on NEW PRE-ENROLMENT APPLICATION (green box on the left)
Fill in STEP A of the PRE-ENROLMENT APPLICATION

Important!
Include your middle name if you
have one. The information you
provide must match EXACTLY the
one listed on your passport
Fill in STEP B of the pre-enrollment application

Upload a copy of
the first page of
your passport, the
one listing your

Acceptance Letter
In the Summary Page, carefully
double check all of your data.
Please note: after clicking on “Apply
for pre-enrolment”, you will not be
able to modify your pre-enrollment
application. In case you still want to
edit it, please go back to the
“Reserved Area” page and modify
your application from there.

TO RECAP:
1. Access the Universitaly Portal at: https://www.universitaly.it/
2. Select «First Steps in Italy»
3. Go to step number 6 and login to start your pre-enrollment application.
4. Complete your account registration and then start your pre-enrollment application. You will be asked to fill out a 3 steps-
application:
1. STEP A: complete the form with your personal data: enter them exactly as shown on your passport
2. STEP B:
 Fill out the form with your passport number and expiration date. Then upload a copy of it (the page with
your personal data and picture is sufficient)
 Upload a passport size picture of your face
 Select the country and the Italian Embassy or Consulate where you will be requesting your visa, make sure
you are eligible to apply there based on your residency.
 Reason for the application: Erasmus + or other exchange programmes for studies/traineeship
 Institution: Università
 Institution name: Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi
 Course type: Corso/i Singolo/i – Single Course(s)
 Course Name: Exchange Program (type it!)
 Select «Every Language»
3. STEP C: as an exchange student, in this section you have to submit your Bocconi Acceptance Letter
(downloadable from the Bocconi online Exchange Program application). In the “Qualifications and Language
Certificates” drop-down list, select “Other”, then type in “Acceptance Letter” in the “Qualification name” tab and
upload the letter.
