Intent HQ - Senior Machine Learning Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and manage Intent HQ’s end-to-end Data & ML Platform, supporting all
AI product development and deployment, including data pipelines, feature engineering, and
complex data workflow orchestration.
• Productionise machine learning models, managing them across their lifecycle—from training
to deployment and monitoring—ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
• Provide architectural guidance and tooling recommendations to support data and machine
learning workloads at scale, working closely with data scientists to optimise platform
experimentation, model training, and inference.
• Collaborate with product and consulting teams to design platform capabilities that benefit
clients directly.
• Promote a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement by taking ownership,
learning from mistakes, and contributing to team growth.
What Intent HQ is Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
• 7+ years of experience in production-grade coding with a strong focus on data engineering,
machine learning, and MLOps workflows.
• Expertise in distributed data processing frameworks like Spark, managing multi-terabyte
datasets for actionable insights.
• Proficiency in building and orchestrating data and machine learning pipelines to support data
engineering, model training, and inference at scale.
• Strong Python skills as a primary programming language.
• Experience in designing and managing large-scale, data-intensive applications for real-time or
near-real-time workloads.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines for scalable AI model packaging, deployment, and
operation.
Required Qualifications (cont.):
• MLOps infrastructure design and implementation skills, ensuring smooth production model
operations.
• Proactive ownership skills with excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
• Experience with major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with distributed computing frameworks such as Ray or Dask.
• Familiarity with orchestration frameworks like Dagster or similar tools.
• Systems programming experience with languages like Rust or C++ for high-performance, low-
latency applications and optimised data pipelines.
