1 Overview
Counters can be used for monitoring the network connections to ensure they are
operating correctly and are performing according to the requested levels.
— Snapshot: These counters are not measured for normal historical periods,
instead they are running or continuous counters that can be sampled at any
time.
— Current: These counters are measured for the current, not yet finished
granularity period (15-minute or 24-hour).
— Historical (History): These counters are measured for the already finished
historical granularity periods (15-minute or 24-hour).
Note: The Last 7 Days counters are not recommended to be used for
management systems.

2.1 RF Power PM
This section provides information on RF Power PM counters, which measure the
input power and output power levels.
2.7 Eta PM
This section provides information on Eta counters.
The Eta value is the optimality or efficiency of the spatial antenna separation in
the MIMO installation. Eta takes on values between 0 and 1, where 1 is the
optimal value.
Note: Eta counters are available for MINI-LINK 6600 products equipped with
MMU 1002 or MMU 1004, that is, MINI-LINK 6691, MINI-LINK 6692,
MINI-LINK 6693, MINI-LINK 6694, MINI-LINK 6654, and MINI-LINK
6655, when used for short haul.
3 Ethernet PM Counters
— Bandwidth
— Traffic Performance
PM counters are available for both LAN and WAN interfaces, while
measurements can be done in both the Tx and the Rx direction.
Bandwidth area counters are also available on a per interface per VLAN basis if
the measurements are configured. Bandwidth measurements for VLANs are
disabled by default. For how to enable them, see Configuring an Ethernet Layer 2
Connection.
For all areas, the Ethernet PM counters are divided into the following intervals:
15-minute current PM, 24-hour current PM, 15-minute history PM (96 intervals)
and 24-hour history PM. When the elapsed time reaches 15 minutes or 24 hours
respectively, the data is moved into the history intervals and the oldest history
data is deleted.
For the monitoring process, the PM start time, interface type and measurement
thresholds have to be specified. For more information about the settings, see
Monitoring Ethernet Performance.
The NE stores the result of the measurement, including basic information about
the measurement, in an XML file. For more details about the contents and the
management of the XML file, see Monitoring Ethernet Performance.
Both interfaces also support measurements in the separate Traffic Class queues
in the Tx direction.
For example, if one frame with size 512 bytes is sent through the node then the
number of octets = 512 and number of unicast = 1 (one frame).
LAN and WAN interfaces support 15 min and 24 hour threshold alarms for the
following:
— RX bandwidth utilization
— TX bandwidth utilization
— RX loss ratio
— TX loss ratio
WAN interfaces support 15 min and 24 hour traffic class alarms for the following:
Measured Object: Ring (Identified by Ring ID and the R-APS VLAN ID together)
Precision Time Protocol (PTP) 1588v2 counters are defined on clock port level.
The counters display the number of originated and the number of terminated
PTP messages since the last counter reset. In Boundary Clock mode, clock ports
are defined for each LAN or WAN interface respectively, and messages are also
counted respectively. The counters are grouped by PTP message type.
This section provides information on IPv4 and IPv6 TCP, UDP, IP, and Internet
Control Message Protocol (ICMP) PM counters.
9 LACP Counters
12 TDM Counters
All counters below are measured for both 15-minute and 24-hour periods.
Note: These counters are supported only by NEs equipped with LTU 1002
(ETSI only).
All counters below are measured for both 15-minute and 24-hour periods.
Note: These counters are supported only by MINI-LINK 6692 and MINI-LINK
6694 when they are equipped with two NPU 1002s or two NPU 1005s.
14 LLDP Counters
Measured Object: NE
All counters below are measured for both 15-minute and 24-hour periods.
16 SFP Counters
The counters are measured only for optical SFPs and available for 15-minute (96
historical) and 24-hour (one historical) periods.
