GROUND RULES EVENT

1. All players are required to attend the Opening Ceremonies on Saturday, February 10-11,
2024 (7:00-9:00 am) at the NDKC Gymnasium.
2. All players must wear complete uniform during the games. Players not wearing complete
uniform or without sports shoes with socks are not allowed to play.
3. Only the players, coach, assistant coach, team manager allowed to sit at the team bench and
only the officiating team and players are allowed to enter the court parameter. All others
companions are required to sit at the bleachers.
4. Players are required to submit all the needed documents including their photocopy and
original copy of their PSA. Players with no PSA and Alleged birth certificate will not be honored.
5. Age limit: an athlete must be 17 years old below and cannot turn to 18 on or prior to January
1 2024.
6. Games shall be played as scheduled. A mandatory 15-minute grace period is allowed. Beyond
this time is declared forfeited in favor of the team present. This rule includes a team “walking
out” of the played game after it has been officially started. All players must be at the sports
center at least 30 minutes prior to the schedule.
7. For 3x3 basketball 5 players are allowed but only 3 can play the game. For 5x5 basketball 12
players are allowed but only 5 can play the game.
8. Upon joining the tournament each team must have their own medical team in case of injury
and/or any other health related problems which occurred during the tournament
9. Protest shall be filed during the opening ceremonies or during the elimination games of the
team. Protest must be filed in writing and formally submitted to the technical committee.
Players under protest must present a proof to satisfy the technical committee. The decision of
committee is FINAL and IRREVOCABLE.
10. There shall be no postponement of the scheduled game even if there is a slight down pour
rain and/or brownout. Other unavoidable events. Which may disturb the games, allow
postponement in which the technical committee deserves the right to decide.
11. Sportsmanship: Respect for opponents, officials, and adherence to the rules are
emphasized. Trash-talking and unsportsmanlike conduct are not tolerated and considered as
technical foul to the player. Coaches and parents should model good sportsmanship behavior
for players.
