Installation of Scanner Unit
In planning location of the Scanner Unit , care must be taken not to let the Funnel ,
Deck Crane and Mast or any other hull structure may enter the radiation beam of the radar .
These obstacles often become cause of the false echoes or blind sectors on the screen.

8 Connection to Terminals
Terminal board circuit of Display unit and Connector of NKE-1075A/1087are no need for
compressed terminal. Except Power supply Cables of SCANNER unit’s Motor
Insert wire part of the cable and screw down tightly as the sketch below.

9 The way of fastening up a Cable Gland
When of the Cable turn tool it is difficult for the aerial installation floor to fasten up in the hit,
implement work by the following point.
1. It turns a Cable Gland with the hand and if fastens up it.
2. It hits a minus screwdriver against the Cable Gland ditch, it beats the head of the minus
screwdriver with the plastic hammer and it turns it.
3. The confirmation of the fastening-up pushes a cable back and forth, and pulls it and the
cable doesn't move.
4. Fill putty like the following

Attent
When the line in the air motor specification and the
instruction machine power supply setting are energized
by mistake, the line in the air motor or the instruction
machine power supply part might be damaged by a fire.
Confirmation
Please confirm whether the line in the air motor article has suited the instruction machine
input power-supply voltage.
There is a possibility of damaging the motor by a fire when a wrong voltage to the motor that
has not been suited is impressed. Please contact JRC business when different from the
specification that the motor is demanded.
Please confirm whether it is a setting that the switch setting in the instruction machine power
supply part matched to the instruction machine input power-supply voltage. The voltage display
on the surface of the switch divides the switch when switching with the changing-over switch of
100V faction or 220V faction.
The voltage transformation is needed by the transformer etc. , except for 100V faction and 220V
faction. The protection circuit malfunctions when the setting is impressed to a different voltage
in the power supply part and there is a possibility of damaging the line in the air motor by a fire.
The instruction machine power supply unit is installed in the left end in inside the plane of the
instruction.

Adjustment
Tune, azimuth, and distance adjustment
The tune adjustment, the azimuth adjustment, and the distance adjustment can be
done from the keyboard.
It is necessary to enter the adjustment mode in the following way.
Tune adjustment
1It tunes in the manual operation, the cooking stove is adjusted to 24 nautical miles or
more, and 1. Edith of TUNE "
The box is clicked.
The numeric input dialog opens.
2 It is adjusted that + and - of the numeric input dialog box make the bar graph of
the tune instruction on the left of the radar screen the longest, pushes ENTER,
and it fixes it.
It is also possible to change the value by left-clicking * and * in the right of the
TUNE Edith box.
- 53
Azimuth adjustment
1 The azimuth display on the screen is made HUP, and PROC is turned off.
3 Because EBL for the azimuth adjustment is displayed, the EBL switch is
rotated, and EBL is matched to chosen Monoshilshi, the switch is pushed, and it
fixes it.
4 EBL The switch is rotated, and the azimuth of EBL for the azimuth
adjustment is matched to the azimuth of measured Monoshilshi, the switch is
pushed, and it fixes it.
5 It does over again from the operation procedure 2 when the azimuth is not still
completely suitable.
Distance adjustment
1 “RANGE" The Edith box is left-clicked.
The RANGE Edith box is selected.
2 The value is input with a numeric key, and the value is fixed with ENTER.
It is also possible to change the value by left-clicking ** in the right
of the RANGE Edith box.

Adjustment of suitable NSK unit for gyro and log
The NSK unit of this radar device is made to the solid, and can correspond to most
gyros by switching the switch (In the step motor type, the first side excitation
voltage of DC35V-DC100V and the synchronized motor type is AC50V-115V). Please
set switch S1, S2, S6, and S7 that is sure to exist in NSK circuit (CMJ-462A)
according to the kind of the gyro before it energizes according to the following
points. Please the giro selection switch of the NSK circuit must been selected to
correspond to rotation ratio 360X and the synchronized type as for a usual factory
setting, and often confirm the shape name of the gyro of the mother ship, and set it
according to the following. Please refer to a set table of applying Figure 135 chart
NCD-4263 type instruction machine gyro and the giro selection switch for details.
The switch of NSK unit (CMJ-462A) is set before the power supply of radar is
