Installation of Scanner Unit
In planning location of the Scanner Unit , care must be taken not to let the Funnel ,
Deck Crane and Mast or any other hull structure may enter the radiation beam of the radar .
These obstacles often become cause of the false echoes or blind sectors on the screen.

Installation of Transmitter-Receiver Unit or Display Unit
In installing Transmitter-Receiver Unit or Display Unit ,connection cable should
be designated cable (14 core composite cable:2695110056).
The grounding of the each radar unit to the ship hull is also very important , earth
conductivity to the hull should be as shortest and rigid as possible.

Selection of Power Supply Voltage

Power supply unit is located in lower left-hand side of the Display unit.
Correct input voltage to be selected by change over switch as per labeled
instruction.

9 The way of fastening up a Cable Gland

When of the Cable turn tool it is difficult for the aerial installation floor to fasten up in the hit,
implement work by the following point.
1. It turns a Cable Gland with the hand and if fastens up it.
2. It hits a minus screwdriver against the Cable Gland ditch, it beats the head of the minus
screwdriver with the plastic hammer and it turns it.
3. The confirmation of the fastening-up pushes a cable back and forth, and pulls it and the
cable doesn't move.
4. Fill putty like the following

Attent
When the line in the air motor specification and the
instruction machine power supply setting are energized
by mistake, the line in the air motor or the instruction
machine power supply part might be damaged by a fire.

Confirmation

Confirmation of line in the air motor

Please confirm whether the line in the air motor article has suited the instruction machine
input power-supply voltage.
There is a possibility of damaging the motor by a fire when a wrong voltage to the motor that
has not been suited is impressed. Please contact JRC business when different from the
specification that the motor is demanded.

Change of instruction machine power supply department input voltage

Please confirm whether it is a setting that the switch setting in the instruction machine power
supply part matched to the instruction machine input power-supply voltage. The voltage display
on the surface of the switch divides the switch when switching with the changing-over switch of
100V faction or 220V faction.
The voltage transformation is needed by the transformer etc. , except for 100V faction and 220V
faction. The protection circuit malfunctions when the setting is impressed to a different voltage
in the power supply part and there is a possibility of damaging the line in the air motor by a fire.
The instruction machine power supply unit is installed in the left end in inside the plane of the
instruction.

check after it equips it

Please turn off the power supply (switchboard) in the radar chartering.
(1)Please check whether to be equipped with the inter switch appropriately when
the equipment work is completed.
Especially, please check whether there is in the connection of the cable the mistake
or the earth of the chapter of the shield class of the cable is correctly done.
(2)Please check whether both internal settings are appropriately set as for each
instruction machine.

inter switch operation confirmation

The power supply (switchboard) in the radar chartering is turned on, and radar is
operated.
(1)Confirmation of inter switch pattern
Six patterns and three systems have two inter switch patterns by 12
patterns in the radar system.
Please refer to the appendix inter switch kit manual for the operation
method for confirmation.
(2)Adjustment and confirmation of radar image
When equipping it, the following three kinds of adjustments are necessary
for the radar system into which the inter switch is built.
• Distance adjustment
• Azimuth adjustment
• Tune adjustment
Please adjust three of these adjustments in a straight mode according to the
adjustment item of the adjustment points book after it equips it. The
crossing mode is an automatic setting (setting and unnecessary). Please

Energizing confirmation

The power supply in the radar chartering is turned on, and the radar power supply switch is pushed
and made to work.
AIS I/F operates normally when the button (Refer to 1-1. to the AIS button) for AIS is displayed under
the left of the screen after the radar screen is displayed.
There is a possibility that the connection and the setting are not correctly done when the button for
AIS is not displayed. Please turn off the power supply of radar, and confirm the connection and the
setting again.

About a function, system, and manipulatory limitations

1.To keep consistency with the display of the AIS target, the vector of the ARPA target
comes to be displayed in not the solid line but the dotted line.
2.50 AIS targets or less can be displayed in this system. There are three kinds of filters
that raise the priority of the display. (Please refer to clause 1-10. )
3.The manipulatory following are limited. Please use it carefully.
1)When you cannot turn on the AIS function
When you set MANUAL with the speed device
When you use SET and DRIFT when LOG is used with the speed device
2)When you cannot select LOG with the speed device
When it is on and set SET and DRIFT, the AIS function :.
3)When you cannot select MANUAL with the speed device
When the AIS function turns on
4)When you cannot turn on SET/DRIFT (current correction)
When you have selected LOG with the speed device when the AIS function is on

AIS button

When AIS I/F is connected with radar, and the power supply is turned on, the AIS button like the
figure below is displayed under the left of the radar screen. Activating, making of the symbol, and
stop display ON/OFF of the ARPA AIS symbol switch can be done by operating this button.

Alarm information on AIS is displayed at the of the example of the radar screen
