Learning Area: Physical Education Class /Stage: 1R

Topic: Game Play Date and Time: 20/5/21 – 8.30am

Curriculum Outcomes:

Intention
WILF: how students use different strategies/tactics to influence the game

Success Observations of students identifying appropriate strategies to influence achievement in


Criteria a game.

Differentiation Lower ability students will have the opportunity to work with another student or teacher.
Advanced learners will be encouraged to find different strategies of improving the game
or creating something similar.
Classroom Students will be seated in the hall as a whole class. They will then divide themselves
organisation into groups for the activity.

Procedure Engagement/ Introduction: Demonstrate to students a variety of stretches using their


arms and legs before jogging around the play area. Place some cones around the area
for them to weave in and out of.

Learning experiences: Place some bean bags in a hoop in the middle of the play
area. Divide students into four teams. Each team will be places in 4 different corners of
the play area with a hoop. The students will need to take turns to try and steal a bean
bag from the middle and return it to their group’s hoop. The team with the most bean
bags at the end of the game wins. If there is time, allow students to steal from other
groups.

Closure: Demonstrate some yoga stretches to the students

Evaluation Ask students for their feedback on whether they enjoyed the activity or not. Allow
