On the first day, we had
a brief orientation that I
led as the leader. After the short orientation, we went down for a lecture about vaping. Many young people today use vape, so this is appropriate for us to realize that it is harmful to our health. There was also a free X-ray session where many SPES Beneficiaries cooperated. On the second day, we attended the flag ceremony at the barangay hall. After the flag ceremony, we helped distribute food to the attendees. Aside from the activities in the barangay, we submitted and checked the narrative report for the 10-day home gardening project and assigned tasks to each department. In the afternoon, we distributed SPES shirts and IDs. On the third day, we deployed each department, and it was very challenging for me. It was hard to work with the barangay staff because some departments accepted only a few people, and we had departments far from our barangay like BHW1 (Nayon) and BHW2 (SV). Fortunately, my SPES colleagues were easy to talk to, and we managed the deployment well. On the fourth day, we had a lecture about VALUES led by Pastor Jonathan. The lessons he gave us stayed in our minds because after his lecture, he asked questions for us to answer in 4 groups. We answered them well, and it also built teamwork among everyone. On the fifth day, we had a cleaning operation in each area that started at six in the morning. After the cleaning operation, we went to the barangay where the staff prepared a breakfast of porridge for us. We also had an orientation about HIV and conducted HIV testing.
