The endocrine system[1] is a messenger system
in an organism comprising feedback loops of
hormones that are released by internal glands
directly into the circulatory system
The human endocrine system consists of
several systems that operate via feedback
loops. Several important feedback systems are
mediated via the hypothalamus and pituitary.

The hypothalamus is a small
area in the center of the
brain that helps regulate
many bodily functions, such
as temperature, hunger,
thirst, sleep, mood, and sex
drive. It works with the
pituitary gland to control
hormone production and
secretion in the endocrine
system.

The pituitary gland is a small, pea-
sized endocrine gland located at the
base of the brain below the
hypothalamus. It is often called the
“master gland” because it controls the
function of many other endocrine
glands in the body. It produces and
releases several hormones that
regulate various vital processes, such
as growth, reproduction, metabolism,
blood pressure, and stress response.

The thyroid gland is a small, T H Y R O I D G L A N D
butterfly-shaped gland located at
the front of your neck. It is part of
the endocrine system, which is a
network of glands that produce
and secrete hormones. The thyroid
gland produces and releases three
main hormones: thyroxine (T4),
triiodothyronine (T3), and
calcitonin1. These hormones play
an important role in regulating
your metabolism, growth,
development, body temperature,
heart rate, and calcium levels
A D R E N A L G L A N D The adrenal gland is another
endocrine gland that is located on
top of each kidney. It has two
parts: the cortex and the medulla.
The cortex produces hormones
such as cortisol, aldosterone, and
androgenic steroids. The medulla
produces hormones such as
adrenaline and noradrenaline.
These hormones help regulate
metabolism, blood pressure, blood
sugar, stress response, and sexual
development

The pancreas is an organ that has
both exocrine and endocrine
functions. The exocrine function
involves producing digestive
enzymes that help break down
food in the small intestine. The
endocrine function involves
producing hormones that regulate
blood sugar levels, such as insulin
and glucagon
