The Way - V3
4. Look ever forwards, in last years nest there are no birds this year.
7. Sometimes you have to give that long dark night of the soul a hug because
being human is a complicated gig.
10. Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The
latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to
hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence.
11. If the enemy stand before you countless, stop counting and fight.
12. The best way to win a battle with honour is to find a way not to fight the
battle at all.
13. Make friends of your enemies until they beg for mercy.
14. If you love, love without reservation, if you fight, fight without fear.
15. Speak your mind – do not expect telepathy on the part of others.
18. The enlightenment and happiness of both self and others: A true mentor in
Buddhism is one who enables us to remember this aspiration.

19. A mentor helps you to perceive your own weaknesses and confront them
with courage. The bond between mentor and protégé enables us to stay true
to our chosen path until the very end.
20. When we possess the treasure of hope, it gives rise to other treasures, too.
Hope draws forth our inner potential and strength. Hope is a magic weapon
that enables us to make our dreams come true.
22. Remember always that all power in your life comes from you, be it power
used for good or ill, for or against. It is all you. You do not exist.
24. The end of self does not mean the death of personality. It is the conscious
recognition and by extension removal of those parts of self that are
vulnerable to the external and are the root causes of suffering. E.g.
selfishness, desire, anger, jealousy and so forth.
27. Consider humanity to be like the hologram, each piece is different and still
contains all the information of the whole simultaneously. When we shed the
ego we do not lose what makes us, us, we simply return to the whole distinct
but not separate. We remember our true face and return to become part and
all of something greater.
30. The right thing for the wrong reason is an impure act and will have no
foundation – it will impede progress
31. Lies are poison, unless told to save lives and genuine feelings e.g. sometimes
you simply have to tell a harsh truth, but sometimes you have to help with a
lie.
32. Violence is the first resort of the incompetent and inadequate and the last
resort of a worthwhile person.
33. Think before you act – always. Just breathe and consider, do not listen to
your hormones.

34. Control your language, this is not to say don’t swear or scream or shout. It
simply means do not let your emotions dictate what you say, let your
emotions punctuate your dialogue e.g. you can’t say I love you effectively
unless you mean it but by the same token don’t bark at someone you aren’t
upset with simply because you are angry at something at the time. It is also
important to realise that swearing is not an inherently bad thing it has a place
in the human language and psyche and can be very effective when used
properly, just remember to choose to swear, do not let swearing be the
punctuation of your dialogue. Use swearing when you require it, not when
short-term emotion dictates.
35. Do not give in to your hatred. Consider the fact that anyone or anything that
inspires such feeling ultimately is not worth such an investment of self.
36. Hatred is not a worthless feeling; it exists and as such has a practical feeling
use it as fuel to deal with the source of such hatred.
37. Remember do not become that which you hate then you have lost.
38. Hate the act, pity the person, they have already lost their battle with the dark
side.
39. Hating people is not worthwhile, if you at first cannot remove hatred as a
motivational force transfer your hatred to righteous causes, the hatred of
weakness and corruption and evil. Do not become your hate.
40. Anger is not a weapon, nor is it the focus – concentrate on the cause not the
effect and you will not blunt your force.
41. Everything contains its own opposite, when you meet force with force you
will only encounter resistance. If you adapt to this force and yield to it
correctly you will cancel it out.
42. Remember at all times what has happened before and that you have survived
it. This should teach you something.
43. Keep your mind on where you are and what you are doing at all times, unless
absolutely necessary on one thing at a time.
44. Be mindful of the consequences of your acts, you as you are will always lead
to others.
46. When you eat just eat, when you walk just walk.

48. Even when others are making you feel wretched remember you will have
done the same at some point whether you realise it or not, just let it go.
49. Everything is temporary and largely only has the lifespan you give it, thus you
are the source of all your bad feelings even if the trigger cause was the action
of someone else.
50. Conversely you are the source of all your good feelings in this context and so
can embrace them and let them go when they are done.
51. Do not suffer injustice but do not let that injustice cloud over your life. Again
let it be the fuel not the engine.
52. Peace is the way; conflicts must be resolved not ended. Ending a conflict will
only store up the conflict for another day.
53. Many are willing to die for an idea, how many are willing to live to make a
better one that benefits all?
55. Ultimately your physical form is dead, but even basic science says you cannot
die, only change shape and form. There is therefore nothing to be scared of,
ever and for all time.
56. Fear as a chemical response is there purely to tell you there is a danger. It is
not there to make you afraid, this is an artificial construct and has no power
other than that which you grant it.
57. Fear exists because some part of you is telling it to exist, simply tell it not to,
it cannot outlast what your mind gives it.
58. Fear in its context of self comes mostly from ignorance. Ignorance is no basis
for any worthy endeavour that does not seeks its eradication. There is so
much you will not nor ever know and as this does not cause fear why should
anything?
59. Fear attracts the fearful; these people need help not hate.
61. Some people choose to live by complaining. Other people choose to live.

63. Una salus victis nullam sperare salutem - the only safety for the conquered is
to hope for no safety – Knowing there is no hope can give one the courage to
fight and win (thus there is always hope)
67. Do not pursue pleasure for thou might have the misfortune to overtake it
74. Try to remember your true face, the one you had before your parents were
born.
75. Courage is not the absence of fear it is finding the will to face it.
76. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one.
77. If you’re going to go, go with a smile.
78. Ryan Lies.
79. The struggle yields its own rewards.
80. We come to love not by finding the perfect person but by learning to see an
imperfect person perfectly.
81. Get out of your own way.
82. Remember that anger can be the fuel NOT the engine.
83. You will screw up at some point. This is ok.
84. You will almost certainly not reap what you sow; you should sow anyway.
85. If you only treat people the way they treat you then you do not have a moral
code.
86. If you love, love without reservation, if you have to fight, fight without fear.
