On a separate sheet of paper, practice using Approach 3. Organize the sentences from
Exercise A by topic into three or more separate paragraphs. Don’t forget to include a topic
sentence.
Freedom and Convenience
Driving lets you go anywhere you want and visit places that buses or trains can’t reach. You
can travel when you want, not just according to bus or train schedules. But, traffic can make
your trip less easy.
Cost and Luggage
Traveling with a group by car can be cheaper than buying several bus or train tickets. But if
you’re alone, renting a car and buying gas might cost more than a bus or train ticket. You can
bring as much luggage as you want, but finding a parking spot can be hard, even at your
hotel.
