Subject: Request Letter for Promotion to final year

Respected Sir
We are the students of III year studying in your prestigious college. We are
writing this letter to address the concerning increase in the number of detentions
due to academic backlogs this year. This year, more students than ever before are
facing detentions, and we respectfully request your consideration for either
promoting us to the next academic year or increasing the backlog limit from four
to seven.
Many of us have encountered significant challenges throughout this term,
including less time for preparation, continuous regular and supplementary exams.
These difficulties have greatly impacted our ability in preparation, resulting in a
higher number of students unable to meet the current backlog limit.
Despite our best efforts and dedication to our studies, the current backlog
limit of four has proven to be a significant obstacle under these exceptional
circumstances. We believe that promoting us to the next grade level would
provide a much-needed morale boost and a fresh opportunity to demonstrate our
academic potential. Alternatively, increasing the backlog limit to seven would
allow us additional time to address our assignments without the immediate threat
of detention.

We kindly ask you to consider our request with empathy and


understanding, given the unprecedented number of students affected this year.
We look forward to your positive response and are available to discuss this matter
further at your earliest convenience.
