To recognize simple words and phrases about food and drinks


Aims To identify others’ needs and feelings in simple oral texts
To talk about basic needs and feelings

Procedures 1. The teacher asks the students to match the pictures with the words.
Then s/he asks them to group these words in Lead in b.

2. The teacher plays the Tapescript 10.1 and asks the students to
complete the dialogues.

3. The teacher replays the tapescript and asks the students to match
the answers with the questions in Appendix B.

4. In Speaking a, the teacher asks the students to complete the


statements and say.

5. The teacher asks the students to work in pairs. S/he wants them to
ask and answer questions about the table in Speaking b.

Aims To make offers

Procedures 1. The teacher asks the students to circle the correct option in Lead in.

2. The teacher plays the Tapescript 10.2 and asks the students to put a
tick for the food and drinks Eric wants.

3. The teacher replays the tapescript and asks the students to put the
statements in the correct order.

4. The teacher asks the students to act out the dialogue in Listening b.

5. In Speaking b, the teacher asks the students to work in pairs. S/he


wants them to use the prompts and ask and answer questions .

6. The teacher asks the students to focus on the Spotlight in Appendix C.

7. In the Project, the teacher assigns the students to prepare a puzzle


and offer the food and drinks in the puzzle to his/her friends.
