How To Configure Interface On Gajshield Firewall-1
Step 2: Click on the Edit. You have options of Type of Interface Standard/PPPoE/DHCP for your
ISP Interface Configuration Depending upon the type of Link.
You will get a checkbox where you can select a single ISP as Default Gateway.
Step 3: After adding all the Details selecting on Edit to save the Interface created. You will get
an confirmation as shown below.
Step 4: After clicking on OK, we need to Restart Network for updating the Routes.
Step 5: After the Network Restart is been done, it will give you the below message as shown
below.
Step 6: Now come to Configuration >> WAN Failover >> WAN Failover. Click on
Note: The WAN Failover setting is done for displaying the Internet Status, whether the Status
of the ISP Link is UP / DOWN on Dashboard.
And we need to set the Primary, Secondary, Third etc. target IP by pinging the IP for checking
whether the Link is UP / DOWN or we can select TCP (Telnet) for specific port which will
define the Internet Status of the ISP Link whether it is UP / DOWN.
Step 7: After editing WAN Failover setting we need to do Install Policies by going in
Firewall >> Policies >> Install Policies
After Doing Install Policies you can check on Dashboard under the Internet Status,
It will be displayed as Shown Below.
Steps for Re-configuring Interface.
Step 1: User has Configured Interface 3 and he needs to re configure it, so he needs to select
by clicking on (Reset Interface).
Details Required for Configuring ISP Links.
1. Standard Link
4. DHCP Link
Note: In GajShield Firewall each and every port is re-configurable. There is no restriction of
Configuring at specific Interface.
You can configure LAN / DMZ / MPLS / Private Network LEASE LINE interface the same way as
you have configured the ISP interface.
User can select only a single ISP Link as Default Gateway. No two or more can be selected.
After doing any changes in the Configuration >> Device Tab, Restart Network is Mandatory
for the changes to be Saved/Updated in the Firewall.
