REFLECTION
Our life these days revolve heavily around technology and the internet. It is just
impossible to live nowadays without them. It is clear, therefore, that there are still many
activities we can enjoy without using technology or the internet even as the world moves
toward a more advanced technology-based style of living.

I was amazed as I was speaking with my grandmother, whom I had interviewed

for the first half, and I understood that she had not needed the internet or electronics for
the most of her life. She managed to live a happy life free from these things that we are
unable to live without now. She did not rely on what social media advises us to do and
instead appreciated the true perspectives of life. She mentioned something that really
touched my heart as well: "Maaaring napadali ng teknolohiya ang buhay ninyo, pero
Perhaps it is also a godsend that
my grandmother declined to get a cellphone for personal use; as a result, we have been
visiting her frequently ever since my grandfather died. Still, there are things for which we
should be thankful and that we ought to treasure more than technology.

I remembered certain things from my conversation with Abisha, a teenage user of

social media. My two years of suffering from it impacted who I am now, so I was
reminded of how difficult it is to study with online classes. These children clearly rely
more on technology because they require it for practically all of their academic
assignments. Though it might improve and simplify our lives, at what price? We hardly
go outside to do things that a teenager should, especially hang out with friends without
using a phone to connect.

Furthermore, I came to understand how much is made possible by technology

and the internet when I interviewed Miss Sheena, a working professional. Though her
job is located abroad, she may now work from home. Our life are genuinely made easier
and less stressful by technology. It truly has the ability to offer answers for problems that
in the past were unsolvable.

To sum up, technology, gadgets, and the internet have a significant impact on our
lives today. For some people, they can live without using them, but for others, their lives
depend on them. And there's nothing wrong with either of these. Some people choose
not to use them, while others choose to use them for the greater good. Even though the
internet has a negative impact on us, we can't deny that the internet and technology that
we have today are also making our lives easier. We just need to use them in
moderation. We need to use the internet to its full potential to help and benefit us, but
we also need to enjoy our lives outside of these technological advances and spend time
with the true connections that we need to cherish, which are connecting with the world
and the people outside the little screens that we have.
