Network Installation Sheet Profibus Slave Interface

Product Overview Network Status LEDs


The Profibus Slave interface can be either top or bottom
mounted. Both options are illustrated below. LED State Indication

Diagnostics Flashing red, 1Hz Configuration error

• Front View Address Switches

Top mounted Slave interface Two switches provides an address range of 1 - 99.

In this example, the Profibus node

address will be 42 (4 x 10)+(2 x 1).

Bottom mounted Slave interface Accessories Checklist


The following items are required for installation:
• Bottom Mounted Interface
• Null modem cable (optional, not included)
• GSD-file, required for network configuration (Availa-
ble on the HMS website, ‘www.anybus.com’)
• Profibus cable (not included)
Gateway Config1
Installation and Startup Summary
1. Connect the gateway to the Profibus network. If the
Profibus node is the last device on a bus segment, use a Profibus
Address (x10) connector with built in terminating resistors.
Address (x1) 2. If required, connect a PC to the gateway via null mo-
dem cable
3. Power up and (if required) configure the gateway
4. Install the.GSD file in the Profibus configuration tool
