Dishes

 Hand wash all pots and pans.


 Put other dishes in dishwasher and put away when done.
 Wipe off the kitchen counters after all dishes are done.
 Sweep kitchen floor after dishes are done.

Kitchen

 Sweep the floor, including in between stove and counter, under the microwave.
 Mop the floor, including in between stove and counter, under the microwave.
 Wipe down all cabinets, counter tops, window sill, refrigerator, stove, ceiling fan, fan above
stove, small appliances (mixers, toaster, coffee pot), as well as under all containers.
 Clean the microwave inside and out, and underneath.
 Organize top of microwave, throw out expired snacks.
 Wash microwave splatter shields.
 Keep fruit bowls stocked and tidy.
 Clean and straighten up counter organizer and recipes.
 Once a week, clean out food from refrigerator.
 Once a week, wash the window.
 Keep the butter dish clean, and restock after.
 Rinse any dishes in the sink and put in dishwasher. The person on dish duty will wash all others
(including pots and pans).
 Wipe down the stove, walls and floor under and behind the garbage can.
 Clean any marks on walls.
 Stock with clean dishrag and towels daily. (Clean items are in the drawers in the China cabinet.)

Living room

 Sweep floor, including under furniture.


 Vacuum any rugs.
 Clean the floor with appropriate cleanser (wood floor cleaner).
 Organize and wipe down bookshelves and everything on them.
 Dust and clean all surfaces, including TV.
 Make sure all windows and blinds are open every morning, and locked and closed every night.
 Clean leather furniture with appropriate cleaner.
 Vacuum all upholstered furniture.
 Clean out under all cushions.
 Wash windows and window sills.
 Water plants at least once per week.
 Fold blankets and put away.
 Fluff and straighten pillows.

First floor bathroom.

 Wash sink thoroughly, including faucets.


 Clean toilet thoroughly, inside and out, top to bottom.
 Clean mirror.
 Stock toilet paper, clean hand towel, hand soap.
 Wipe down tile on walls, including trim on floor and window sill.
 Clean window.
 Sweep and mop floor.
 Wipe off any marks on walls.
 Disinfect all surfaces (including light switch, toilet handle, faucets, toilet, etc.)

Hallway/stairs

 Vacuum the upstairs hallway and stairs.


 Dust/clean wooden trim under the railing and on the floor of the stairs.
 Dust and disinfect hand railing and furniture in hallways.
 Wipe off any marks on walls.
 Shake out and sweep or vacuum any rugs.
 Sweep and mop front entrance and hallway.

Offices

 Sweep, mop or vacuum office floors.


 Empty wastebaskets.
 Clean windows once a week.

Dining room

 Wipe down tables after dinner.


 Wipe down tables, chairs, buffet and dessert table.
 Dust China cabinet and keep organized.
 Sweep and clean the floor thoroughly, using appropriate cleaner, including under all tables.
 Organize and clean the drawers in buffet and China cabinet.
 Clean and wash out utensil cups once a week, and restock.
 Open blinds/windows or turn on air conditioner in the morning.
 Make sure windows and blinds and closed and locked every night.
 Wipe down walls, especially behind the buffet.
 Fill napkin holders and salt/pepper shakers.

Recycle/garbage

 Take recycling downstairs and organize daily.


 Break down all boxes and cardboard.
 Take recycling to the curb on recycling weeks.
 Wash and tidy all recycling containers and garbage can in the kitchen.
 Every Tuesday night, take all garbage cans to the street (and recycling when appropriate) to the
curb.
 Return recycling containers to their proper places.
 Pick up all garbage in the parking lot, yard, and near the house.
 Clean out/hose garbage cans by the garage.
 Take out kitchen garbage every day, as needed.
Laundry room and basement

 Wash, dry and put away all house laundry. (Hand towels and cleaning rags go in the cleaning
closet, kitchen towels and dish rags get put in the China cabinet in the dining room, any bath
items belong back in their individual bathrooms.)
 Wipe down all appliances (washer, dryer, freezer, refrigerator).
 Clean lint trap.
 Empty garbage cans.
 Organize guest refrigerator and check expiration dates, discard as needed.
 Sweep and mop floors.
 Organize shelves, wipe down surfaces.
 Bag up giveaway items as needed.
 Sweep and mop the back entranceway including hallway, landing, and stairs.

Basement bathroom

 Wash sink thoroughly, including faucets.


 Clean toilet thoroughly, inside and out, top to bottom.
 Clean mirror.
 Stock toilet paper, clean hand towel, hand soap.
 Wipe down tile on walls, including trim on floor and window sill.
 Clean window.
 Sweep and mop floor.
 Wipe off any marks on walls.
 Disinfect all surfaces (including light switch, toilet handle, faucets, toilet, etc.)
