CIRCULAR

Date: 20/06/2024
Dear Parents,
We are pleased to inform you that our school will participate in the Mathematics Aptitude Test (MAT)-
2024, organized by the Institute of Mathematics Education. The test will be conducted at the All India Level and
is divided into two groups: Primary Group (Grade V and VI) and Higher Primary Group (Grade VII & VIII).

MAT Question Paper (Primary and Higher Primary Group):

 Questions paper consists of 50 Multiple Choice Questions.


 Each question carries 4 options of which only one is correct.
 Each question carries two marks.
 There is no negative marking for wrong questions.
 Maximum marks are 100.
 First 45 questions are of easy to moderate level of difficulty.
 Last 5 questions are higher level of difficulty.
 Time duration is 2 hours.
 Medium of examination is English.
Syllabus: refer the circular issued by Institute of Mathematics Education.

Awards for MAT:


For Students Scoring
1) 40% to 48% : Passing Certificate
2) 50% to 88% : Selection Certificate
3) 90% and above : Selection Certificate and Prize (JMO study material)

Registration Details:
Interested students need to pay a registration fee of Rs. 350/-.The registration fee should be paid to the
school account section only. Please ensure the receipt and student’s name are submitted to the class teachers by
26th June 2024.

We encourage all interested students to participate in this prestigious competition, as it is an excellent


opportunity to enhance their mathematical skills and gain recognition at the national level.
