TECHNOLOGY FOR

TEACHING & LEARNING 2

(TTL2)

CELEDIO, LENSY B.
BSEd MATH 3-2
ACTIVITY 1

By analyzing the special features of Word Applications used in the samples of learning plans,
answer the following discussion questions:

1. What are the advantages of developing learning plans using a word processing software application?
Developing learning plans in a word processor offers significant advantages over traditional
methods. From faster writing and easier editing to improved organization, collaboration features, and
accessibility, using software streamlines the process while enhancing the quality and professionalism
of your learning plans.

2. Based on the example, what are the special features of the word application software that are
beneficial in organizing the information required in any learning documents?
Word processors are not just about text editing - they offer specific features that excel at
organizing learning documents. From using headings and outlines to structure your content, to
employing tables and lists for clear presentation, these tools aid in information organization.
Additionally, features like citations, templates, and accessibility options further enhance the quality
and inclusivity of your learning materials.

3. What additional features of word applications do you think are beneficial in preparing the following
in your mathematics or science class:

a. Pamphlets for learning questions;

Templates and content controls in word processors enhance the creation of learning question
pamphlets by providing a structured format and enabling interactive elements like fill-in-the-blank
sections.

b. Brochure for the different mathematical or scientific skills;

Features like folding and layout options, along with text boxes and call-to-action elements,
allow you to design visually appealing and informative brochures that showcase different
mathematical skills and encourage further exploration.

c. Charts and graphs for data interpretation and analysis;

Built-in charting tools and data linking functionalities facilitate the creation and update of
various chart types directly within your document, ensuring effective data visualization and
maintaining consistency.
d. Worksheets for mathematics drills; and
Tables, forms, automatic numbering, and formatting features streamline the creation of drill
worksheets by providing a structured layout, efficient formatting options, and consistent
presentation.
e. Mathematics learning tools?
Word application software and add-ins offer advanced functionalities for educators. It automate
repetitive tasks like creating practice problems, while add-ins expand the software's capabilities
with features like interactive quizzes, simulations, or visualization tools, enriching the learning
experience.

ACTIVITY 2 : DEVELOPING YOUR LEARNING PLAN

Use your learning plan from module 2. And answer the following questions:

1. Identify the learning area in mathematics or science education that your plan will cover. Is it
Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, Statistics? For what year level and for what grading period?
It is an Algebra in First Grading Period for Grade 9 students .

2. Identify the topics within your learning area to be covered. Give a brief description of the main
concepts that must be learned by your students in this lesson.
The topics or main key concepts are key concepts of quadratic equations, quadratic
inequalities, and rational algebraic equations. This unit delves into the world of quadratic
equations, equipping students with knowledge and skills to recognize, represent, and solve them
using various methods. They will explore standard, vertex, and factored forms, master graphing
and factoring techniques, and apply the quadratic formula to solve real-world problems.
3. Identify the Basic Education Competencies, with the content and performance standards that are
targeted by your learning plan.
The learner demonstrates understanding of key concepts of quadratic equations, quadratic
inequalities, and rational algebraic equations. The learner is able to formulate real-life Problems
involving quadratic equations, quadratic inequalities, and rational algebraic equations and solve
this using a variety of strategies. Furthermore, the learner should be able to investigate
mathematical relationship involving quadratic equations and quadratic inequalities.

4. Briefly describe the topics, key activities, student products, and possible roles that students assume
in project scenario.
Students explore real numbers through presentations, design math board games, and solve
real-world problems using equations. They take on roles like researchers, designers, problem
solvers, and presenters.
