METHODOLOGY

Research Design

The design of a research project using quantitative research methods is

referred to as quantitative research design. The design differs depending on the

method used, which could be a survey questionnaire. Furthermore, Rono (2019)

stated that quantitative research design favors closed-ended questions. This

design ensures that the quantitative research process is far more efficient than it

would be if quantitative style was used.

In correlational the researcher particularly measures the strengths and

direction of a relationship between However variables. (2018), explains research

design are the specific procedure involved in the Creswell research process; data

collection, data and report writing. The research design analysis uses analysis

design. Research is a way of observation and has the objective to find the

answer of problems or discovery process (Sukardis, 2018).

In this study the objective is to correlate the time management between

academic performances of GAS students. Correlational does not mean that

changes in one variable actually cause the changes in the other variable.
Research Locale

This study will be conducted in Province of Davao de Oro Municipality of

Nabunturan, Philippines. Particularly, this study will be conducted in one of the

competitive secondary schools in Nabunturan and governed by the board of

trustees.

The researchers chose this location since it is one of the leading

secondary public school providing high-quality education and inclusive education

to students.

Research Respondent

The respondents of this study are the Gas student from Grade 11 and 12 in

Nabunturan National comprehensive high school, Nabunturan Davao de Oro - The

study conducted within the second semester for the school year 2022-2023.

Simple Random Sampling is used to identify the size that represents the entire

population of the respondents from GAS students. Simple Random Sampling is a part of

the sampling technique in which each sample has an equal Probability of being chosen.

A sample chosen randomly is meant to be an unbiased presentation of the total

population.

There are (2) section in GAS strand in Grade 11&12 total of (4) Section in

Nabunturan national comprehensive high school included in the study. Nabunturan

National comprehensive high school is one of the schools in Nabunturan west district in

the division of Davao de Oro. The table shows the distribution of the respondents in this

study as you can see in the table below there are total of respondents 131 that

represent the entire population of 193.

Research Instrument

The Likert scale, a five-point scale, was used as the research tool in this study

(2015). The Likert scale was used since it has been found to be straight forward for

respondents to understand and for researcher to translate in a number of students. In

this research, two (2) sets of survey questionnaires are used. The researcher has two

sets of survey questionnaires for student in grade 11 and 12.

The survey questionnaire will serve as the foundation for calculating the

students test results. This survey questionnaire was the tool in gathering the needed

data. The Grade 11 and 12 questionnaires were made of questions. The test result

obtained from the modifying questionnaires. The respondents’ preliminary grades which

was obtained from their advisers. The modifying test questionnaire was checked and

validated by Mrs Kesha M. Diano 21st century literature Teacher.

Data Gathering Procedure

The following procedures were used to collect the data:

First, the researchers obtained permission to conduct the study from the

Assistant School Principal and the School Principal of the Nabunturan National

Comprehensive high school- integrated senior high school.

Second, after the permit was approved, the researchers sent a copy to the

validating teacher to validate the researcher-created test questionnaires.

Following validation, the researchers prepared a permission letter to be signed

by the respondents' Class Advisers in order to finally conduct the study during

their time frame.

Third, once all permissions were granted, the researchers began

collecting data. The researchers assigned a learning style to each section of the

respondents. Section Edison was given the visual style, section Boyle was given

the auditory style, and section Poseidon was given the kinesthetic style. Prior to

administering the researcher-created test questionnaires, the researchers briefly

discussed the Accounting topic with the respondents using their assigned

learning style, regardless of their individual learning styles. Following their

responses, the researchers immediately collected the test questionnaires. The

researchers then asked the respondents' preliminary grades from the Class

Advisers using the permit approved by the School Principal and the Assistant

School Principal.
Finally, after collecting the data, the researchers verified, analyzed, and

interpreted it.

Statistical Technique Used

The collected data was analyzed and interpreted using the following statistical tools:

Mean, also known as the arithmetic mean, is calculated by adding all the values

in a data set and dividing by the total number of values in that data set. Because the

average is calculated objectively, both large and small outliers are considered. have the

same relative influence on the arithmetic mean's value.

The Pearson correlation coefficient, also known as the Person's r, the Pearson

product moment correlation bivariate correlation, or simply the correlation coefficient in

statistics, is a metric used to determine the linear correlation between two sets of data.

Ethical Consideration

The primary focus of this study is the Grade 11and 12 GAS student of

Nabunturan national comprehensive high school- integrated senior high school. As a

result, their safety and total protection were guaranteed. Thus, the researcher adhered

to the ethical standards enshrined in the Belmont Report in 1974 when conducting this

study. Three basic principles, among those generally accepted in our cultural tradition,

are particularly relevant to the ethics of research involving human subjects: the

principles of respect for persons, beneficence, and justice.

To establish respect for a person, I ensured the confidentiality of the provided

information and personal identity to the research respondents for their safety, and all

information provided was strictly used for the purposes of the study. I also made certain

to keep promises about maintaining confidentiality and monitoring data to ensure the

respondents' safety. In establish justice, I made sure the participants were treated fairly

throughout the study in accordance with the research process.
