Our client, a company dedicated to Research that specializes in telecommunication
and radiofrequency systems is looking for experienced Radio Frequency Engineers
and SW Engineers to join their team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. They have been on the market for over 6 years, well-established, UAE government-funded company with over 400 employees. Role: Senior Hardware Systems Engineer (RF)
Responsibilities:
o Design and develop cutting edge communication systems
o Write system specification documents (HLD/LLD) and break them into sub-specification for board, mechanical, electrical and RF designers, as well as software requirements for RT-embedded team o Work on projects from concept design to mass production level o Work with various teams such as board design, RF design, FW and mechanical design o Design/ develop the system accessories including wiring, connectors, and associated mechanical interfaces o Working with contractors and suppliers on custom and off the shelf components o System integration, bringing up, debug and testing. perform design verification against requirements and specifications, and generate verification report o System documentation o Design to meet military standards, thermal and environmental constraint
Skills and Qualifications:
o Experience in designing military standard payloads for stationary/
vehicular/ airborne solutions o Experience with board design, RF design, mechanical design o Knowledge in digital systems, analog system, power supply design o Knowledge in RF, transmitter/ receiver architecture. o Hands on lab debugging/ measurement skills using Oscilloscope, VSA, VSG, VNA etc. o Excellent analytical, problem solving, and debugging skills o Self-motivated and an effective team player o Self-directed - highly capable at planning out work and executing projects independently o Needs to be at component level (not high-level) design of an RF system, so power, amplifier, etc o R&D in military or telecom RF / Radio providers (e.g. Ericson) or Space RF systems etc.

Role: Senior Hardware Systems Engineer (HW)
Responsibilities:
o Design and develop cutting edge communication systems
o Design and develop cutting edge platforms for electronics systems o Work on projects from concept design to mass production level o Work with various teams such as mechanical design, board design, RF design and FW o Design / develop the system accessories including wiring, connectors, and associated mechanical interfaces o Working with contractors, vendors and suppliers on custom and off the shelf components o Assist system integration, bring up, debug and testing. Perform design verification against requirements and specifications, and generate verification report o System documentation o Design to meet military standards, thermal and environmental constraint following industry-standard processes and procedures o Providing technical support for hardware issues o Troubleshooting and debugging performance issues
Skills and Qualifications:
o Experience with military standard payloads for stationary/ vehicular/ airborne
solutions o Experience with board design, RF design, mechanical design o Knowledge in digital systems, analog system, power supply o Knowledge in RF, transmitter/ receiver architecture o Hands on lab debugging/ measurement skills using Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, Oscilloscope, multi-meter etc. o Familiarity with a wide range of hardware devices
Role: Digital Signal Processor (DSP) Engineer Hardware Team
Responsibilities:
o Leading DSP activities from feature development to integration
o Defining and writing system level specifications for development teams or integration teams o Provide performance figures based on theoretical analyses and simulations o Work in collaboration with all company teams such as SW, FPGA, Algorithms, QA, and other o Handle and debug signal processing issues coming from internal lab testing as well as from customers Skills and Qualifications:
o Knowledge source for DSP systems and product behaviours
o Deep understanding in at least two or more of following topics is a must, blind signal demodulation, signal classification, pattern recognition, Neural network, TETRA, DMA, AM, FSK, PSK, and OFDM o Good understanding of software defined radio or Two-way radio systems o Good understanding of implementing and simulating DSP systems in MATLAB (or similar)
Role: SW Systems Engineer (C++)
Responsibilities:
o Design, develop, optimize and integrate embedded software for radio
frequency related applications o Participate in the product development lifecycle from inception and design to bring-up, optimization, verification o Use good design principles for software development o Implement algorithms that are developed from the domain o Design and implement tests and test interfaces to validate your code
Skills and Qualifications:
o Extensive proven experience programming C++ including modern standards
o OOP design principles and knowledge are a prerequisite o Extensive experience with Linux in general, Ubuntu is desirable o Extensive experience with multi-threaded real-time software design, implementation and debugging o Familiarity with standard software development tools: git, Jira (or any other bug tracker), conan (or similar)
Bonus Skills:
o Programming C and/or Python
o RTOS development such as FreeRTOS, VxWorks, Zephyr o Experience using lab equipment (signal generators, spectrum analysers, logic analysers, or oscilloscopes) o RF DSP knowledge and experience are highly desirable
Role: Senior C++ Firmware Engineer
Responsibilities:
o Design and implement C++ applications for embedded systems, considering
memory limitations, real-time constraints, and power efficiency o Provide a software abstraction layer to seamlessly support a variety of hardware configurations o Optimize code for performance, resource utilization, and responsiveness in constrained environments o Integrate software with hardware components, ensuring seamless communication and functionality o Write unit tests and perform thorough testing to ensure the reliability and robustness of the embedded software o Identify opportunities for performance optimization, memory footprint reduction, and power efficiency improvements in the firmware o Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance software development efficiency and quality
Skills and Qualifications:
o In-depth knowledge of C++ programming language and proficiency in
modern C++ standards (C++11, C++14, or later) o Strong understanding of design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming concepts o Extensive experience in software architecture design, particularly in C++- based projects o Demonstrated experience in architecting complex software systems and delivering scalable, maintainable, and reliable solutions o It is imperative to have a good understanding of clean code practices o Extensive experience with Linux operating system Nice to have:
o Experience with RTOSes such as FreeRTOS, VxWorks, Zephyr
o Linux socket programming o Good knowledge of CMake o Familiarity with ARM, PIC, or other microcontroller architectures o Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python) for test automation and scripting tasks
